i can’t believe it

you guys really out there making me reach 400 followers. never been that high on a blog of mine before! thank you all so so so much. it means a lot to see that people actually appreciate my writing.

also, arcana fam, any of you heard of voltron? if ya have, go hit me up with an ask if y’all want me to reveal the name of my voltron sideblog! i’m currently really active on there because i’m applying and joining a ton of stuff, so i won’t be able to answer requests that frequently on here. but never fear! if it’s in my ask box, it’s gonna get out there… someday. lol.

One of the purest and most wholesome facts in the Arcana is how Asra and the MC share the only bed in the shop and they probably cuddle every night because they are 100% comfortable around each other. Also Halla is not a morning person and a very lazy one.

Can we get Julian feeling bad after what he said to lilac, please? (And possibly lilac refusing to take him back??)

sorry i took me weeks to answer this, but here it is!

He visited the store again, this time with an objective.  She spotted him easily.

“Get out, Julian.” Lilac orders, her voice hoarse from all the customers she has talked to.  “We’re closed.”

Julian broke down her barriers.  “Please, Lilac, let me talk to you.”

“I have been letting you talk to me for the last few weeks!  Julian, you aren’t progressing.  I’m sorry.” she crosses her arms over her chest.  The walls are up as high as ever.

The doctor shatters them down again.  “For this last time, Lilac.  Just this one time.  If it doesn’t work, then I won’t bother you again.”

“Julian!  You….” she messes up her hair.  “You turned my insecurities against me.  You gave me something about you to hate.  You did that.  You.”

“I’m terribly sorry for everything that I’ve done to you, Lilac.  Not only on that night, but for all time.  What I said before, what I’m saying now, and what I’m about to say.”

“And to think that I’m that easy to break down.  Julian, we’ve been together for several months.  Haven’t you noticed that I don’t forgive easily?”  Lilac was starting to tear up, but she manages to swallow her guilt at the last second.

“I know.  I made a mistake, and I’ve been living with the consequences.”  Julian steps closer, placing his hands down on the wooden counter.

“You deserve to live with them.”

“I know that, Lilac.  I really do.  But hear me out, my love—”

“No.”

“Lilac… I’m a fool, and I’m the last thing you need right now.”  Julian’s crying, a tear slips out from under his eye patch.  Lilac had no idea that was possible.  “But this fool loves you endlessly.  This fool needs you at this instant.”

Lilac looks out the window, building up her wall brick by brick.  After all this time, after days and days of trying to win her back, Julian has always failed.  He’s not reaching this one point that is all Lilac needs before the rain could bash in her feelings again.

But the sky was awfully clear that night.

“…. this fool needs to leave.  For the last time.”  she whispers, tears finally falling down her rosy cheeks.

Julian looks up at her through hooded eyes, trying to get that last drop of sympathy squeezed out of her.  But she wasn’t having it.  She’s smart enough to know what’s going to happen once she lets him in again.  They’re going to love each other over again, they’re going to fight again, and they’re going through the whole process again.

And to be completely honest, she was tired of the whole thing.

The heartbroken doctor pushed back to walk out the door.  The desolate shopkeeper pushed him to the back of her mind.
