Round 1: Sjin+Tonic vs. I Hate This Guy
Reply order: Sjin -> Parv or Sparkles* -> Minty -> Parv or Sparkles*
When the walls fell, Sjin felt a familiar thrill of excitement run up his spine. The Games were some of his favourite events when it came t their little world and there was a certain satisfaction that came with it all. When the starting bells had counted down he'd given Minty a little nod and clambered into the nearest tree.
As the walls crumbled he could see the other areas spread out in the distance (and maybe smoke curling into the sky from one of the arenas but instead focused on remaining completely still and silent in his tree above Minty.
She looked rather small and demure standing under him, iron boots but not much else but it was all part of the scheme, all part of the lure. The sword she had was as deadly as any and he knew she'd tear through anyone who came near and if she was in a pickle, well.
He was their backup plan.
Minty glanced up at him with one arched eyebrow and he gave her a quick nod, drawing his diamond sword and positioned himself so he could leap down if she got into too much trouble. The trap was laid and all he had to do was wait for Minty to put it all into play. They'd done this a dozen times before and they weren't about to lose to whoever came through the wall.

Sjin didn't really remember designing this particular set of Games, not even a finicky little memory of making homes or placing items and he supposed that this time he actually hadn't helped. Lost in thought he perked up when he heard his name, trotting over to Minty and gave a little nod.
"As much as we need those basic things, I know Ridge is a tricky bugger," he said, shaking his head, "if he had anything good for us he'd have it hidden. One of us should be looking for hidden things and one should be getting basic things ready."
He couldn't feel the familiar pull of magic he'd grown so used to with Lalna and made an irritated little huff. "We're going to have to play this smart Mints if we're gonna win. We stay together alright? No splitting up farther than we have to. And kill everyone."
Sjin and Tonic
They woke to the sound of rustling leaves below them, the air was thinner in the canopy than it was below. This was, by far, the weirdest start she’s ever had in the Games but Minty couldn’t complain; she had one of the best partners, after all.
Sjin had probably the most Survival Games wins to date but with the new competitors things were going to be tricky. Her mouth tugged into a grin as the barmaid peered over the leaves surrounding him before calling back, “We need to get down and find some materials, preferably through mining. Any ideas?”
This was going to be a blast, Minty just knew it.

"It could happen!" Sjin snapped at her, pouting a little as he sunk lower into his track jacket's collar. "Ross or Lalna could've designed it easy."
Watching her stretch out of the corner of his eye, he tried to ignore the mix of feelings rolling around his chest. He wanted so badly to go with Sips but things were so complicated with all the hiding and the clandestine dating. It'd be nice just to go to the dance with him and the spin the bottle game had been awkward and great all at once.
He shot her a half-glare. "I don't even know if he wants to go with me..."
"Personally, I’d rather make out with a cactus."
Lomadia stared deadpanned ahead of her, looking up briefly from where she was stretching on the grass to sigh. This was how it had been for the past two hours: she stretched and did her laps while Sjin continued to rant about whatever annoyed him. Today’s topic was, big bloody surprise here, something Sips had said to piss him off. Lately they’d been on the rocks despite their usual amicable nature and everyone around them, particularly her, was getting the worst of it.
"You don’t really mean that, do you?” She asked from where was on the ground, standing up to grab her ankle. Trying to keep her balance, she took deep breaths. “I mean, it was just a game of spin the bottle and you acted like he’d just bloody proposed. You do know the game is completely random, by the way?”

With everyone out and tables cleaned and chairs tucked away, Sjin returned to Sips, pulling off his apron with a nod. "I think people wanted to stay a bit long but they'll just have to send in a complaint or a bad Yelp review." Ruffling a hand through his hair in and effort to make it seem a bit less limp he grabbed his own coat, turning off the lights.
He'd admit that he was feeling... jittery, but a good jittery. The kind of butterflies that made him work had and fast and well. "I'm ready to go when you are." He said, taking an umbrella at Sips. "And you better be ready to share this Sipsy, no way am I letting you out in the rain again without a little cover."
He laughed as he watched Sjin whirl about the cafe, sometimes grabbing mugs and plates from people that weren’t completely finished. He could feel own face getting warm; Sjin was working awfully hard just so the two of them could get outta here.
Sips dug around in his bag and grabbed a fistful of dollars, shoving all of them into the tip jar. He figured since he didn’t exactly have to pay for his coffee that he’d give Sjin a little something extra. Once it looked like Sjin was slowing down, he grabbed his wet clothes and finished off his coffee with a sigh. “You almost done?”

Sjin grinned, leaning forward to wiggle his eyebrows at her. "Well, well, well, does the barmaid finally have a shining prince?" He teased, "I never thought you'd settle down of all people but I suppose if you wanted to wrangle up a toy to play with you'd find someone."
"You should never ask a lady what she does in her personal life!" Minty gasped dramatically. He wasn't the only one who could act. Grabbing a rag from beneath the counter, she wiped her brow in mock-worry. "If only my shining prince could save me from you, villain."

Sjin considered this, leaning back in his seat but still turned towards Sips. This was in future and he was very interested in what he had to say. "Well, they had an opening and said they liked my work," he said, only a bit defensive as he pat at his briefcase full of designs and photos. "I didn't know you helped set them up though... How come you didn't stay with them? Were they really a couple of jokers?"
He smiled proudly, stretching out in his seat. “Yep, that’s me.” As soon as he heard the name ‘Hat Corp’, his smile disappeared. “Hat Corp?” he groaned. “You were applying for a job with those jokers?” Fuck, had they been a nuisance for him in the past. “I seriously don’t recommend working for them. You give ‘em an inch, and they take a mile. I’d know. I helped them set up their shit corporation.”

Teencast Prom PSA
LISTEN UP KIDDIES
On Friday there’s going to be a Teencast AU Prom Night with a bunch of us. And nobody at all is forced to participate, it’s just a fun thing to do with your character if you want to! You can do things in the week leading up to it as well, like have your character ask someone to go with them, go suit/dress shopping, etc., but Friday is going to be the night when it officially begins.
Dancing, drinks, standing awkwardly to the side looking for someone to talk to, tons of fun for everyone. Prom threads can continue past Friday of course, but that’s the starting date we’re gonna use! Anyone at all is welcome to participate and post starters or send prompts.
If you’d like, you can reblog this post to show you’re participating so that others will know and be able to plot/thread with you. Have fun!

The day was getting chilly from autumn air and Sjin sunk down into his jacket, shoving hands grumpily into his pockets as he bent his legs slowly, cool air brushing against his air legs. He watched the blonde critically, focusing on her form and such and snorted at her.
His relationship with Sips had been... On and off. They were dating kind of. In secret. That was the big thing! It was supposed to be a secret. Kissing at a party? So not secret. "He totally probably planned it," he muttered, "no way was that just a coincidence!" And definitely not one of the best kisses he's ever had. Definitely not.
"Personally, I’d rather make out with a cactus."
Lomadia stared deadpanned ahead of her, looking up briefly from where she was stretching on the grass to sigh. "Of course!" Sjin said, nodding enthusiastically. He'd always wanted to see more of Sips outside their job and this is something people did... Right? Invited each other over to their houses. Late at night. In the middle of a storm. His cheeks burned but he kept nodding. "You're a really good customer after all. Gotta keep you coming back for more and if you die in the rain I won't be able to milk you for tips."
He winked, straightening. "Let me close up and then we can get going." He said, waving a hand and immediately started bustling around the main area, telling people to pack up and picking up discarded mugs and plates, balancing them all with ease. The excitement of spending time with Sips had him working in a flurry rather than taking his time.
He took a long, contented sip from the coffee cup and sighed. God damn, did Sjin make the best coffee. He could taste the small amount of alcohol in his mug; Sjin was so fucking good, he always mixed things up for him. “I know, but it’s either these bad boys or my soaked pants.” He smiled, taking another gulp of his drink.
Sips looked outside with Sjin. He really didn’t want to make the trek back to his apartment, especially when he had no idea when the rain would lighten up. “Seriously? You’d let this bastard spend the night at your house?”

Sjin pouted as she shook his head. "Hey now! I didn't get any say in timelines. That's so unfair," he said, tutting at her as she shook his hand. Still, a bet was a bet. "A month is good enough for me though. Seriously Minty, you're going to owe me a month of free drinks."
Pulling his hand back he took a much more confident swig of his own drink, grinning at her. "What about you? Gotten into anyone's pants or skirts? " He teased, fluttering his eyelashes at her.
Minty looked at it for a second before taking his hand firmly and returning his smile. "Over my dead body, Sjin. You know I never lose a bet." The blonde reminded, raising one eyebrow. Deep down she knew he was right but she'd never let him know. "I say give them a month. If they last any longer I win but if they can't even last that long I suppose you'll take the victory."

Sjin's shoulders were still shaking but they relaxed when Sips confessed that farmer had been right and he was in the wrong. A tiny smile pulled at his lips when he saw how defeated Sips looked. "Well, you're always kind of an asshole, but normally it's kind of endearing? You're my kind of asshole."
He sighed a little. "But look at the bright side Sipsy We can team up again and just care about us again right? Good ol' SipsCo. With you being an asshole and me being right about everything." He was totally right about everything. Most of the time.
"You’re so caught up with impressing everyone that doesn’t matter." [hey friend![
"Seriously?"  Great.  Sips should’ve known better to think that Sjin wouldn’t be getting dramatic about something, although he had admittedly tuned out most of what he had been saying.  It wasn’t on purpose or anything, but the other wasn’t too far off.  He was pretty caught up with impressing people and making himself out to be the best.  ”What doesn’t matter exactly?”

Sjin paused in rolling his sleeves back and turned disbelieving eyes onto the man. Sips... Co? That was one of the largest businesses around and their CEO was- Oh. Oh. "You're... Sips." Sjin said, half-question, half statement and felt a bolt of excitement run through his spine.
"I was applying for a job at HatCorp! But I've definitely heard of SipsCo- you guys have some of the nicest factories. A little grey and boring but functionality wise they're pretty incredible. Wow- I cannot believe it though, are you setting up a deal with a new company? SipsCo branching out into new territory?"
"Jesus, you too? But yeah, I had a huge business deal over in Bristol to set up a new branch of my company and it looks like it’ll all go to shit now." He puffed, folding his arms. This guy he was sitting next to was pretty nice, and he was actually surprised that he ended up sitting next to him. Most people usually stayed away from him due to his threatening appearance.
He turned to Sjin and gave him a half-smile. “Ever heard of Sipsco?”

sjin
track champion
i seriously mean it
look at that booty in those shorts. those perfect calves.
champion.
but also excels at woodshop. like dang. he's got such a way with wood. need a bird house? box? bowl? he's your guy.
Also maybe runs an illegal food business out of the woodshop room but that remains to be seen
raised by a single father who works most of the time but is very aware that his son is Very Very Gay (pansexual, but his dad's just learning terms and everything so they're taking it slow)
he dreams of designing big buildings but he'l more likely take over his dad's small home improvement business which is fine with him.
over the summers he's usually working on his grandma's farm and so he's really good with animals and stays pretty fit.
also very good painter.
but that booty is a booty of the gods.
