To My Former Community

Let me just say something first. I truly miss all of my old friends and partners I had on this blog, and I really do miss RPing with you all, but there's just no way I can come back. Not like this.

Okay, so I've been dropping in on this blog to check up on old friends and see what's new with the RP community I miss so much, and I hate to say that I am very disappointed with what I'm seeing. What's with all of this passive aggressive character hate? All of the petty ship wars and pissing contests? Why is everyone secluding themselves into holes where they'll just RP with their best buds?

This is not the Persona RP community I knew a year ago. This is a mess. A disgusting mess that I think has no way to be alleviated at this point. I remember everyone used to be so happy-go-lucky and would be perfectly content with whatever verses they went with, adding on AUs to their blogs instead of making a new blog for every new fad that came up. Everyone would take a majority of their threads seriously. Our promos didn't have shitposts copy/pasted in them to make them have a comedic shabang.

What happened to the fandom I thought I once felt safe and comfortable in? It died. It died and it's never going to come back because we all can't get along and learn to live and let live.

Stop with the character hate.

Stop the shipping wars.

Stop the pushing of social justice on games that came out 7 years ago. That was a whole generation ago.

We're the new generation. Stop focusing on past gripes with past games and talk about what you want in the new games. Have calm, drama-free discussions about what you like and dislike about characters. Please.

It really is a shame that I left the Persona RP community, since I really did like a lot of the people on here. Though sadly, calling someone out on their ridiculously creepy, stalker behavior as a way to warn others of who they are and what they do is considered "starting drama" which makes me some kinda bad guy.

I understand the socially awkward part, but when I told him I was taken, he got all sorts of creepy after that. Demanded that I never talked about my SO, got jealous when I talked about any friends of mine that were guys. When I would get off Skype for even an hour to go do something, he'd ask what I was doing and I said I couldn't tell him because it involved my SO (stuff like going out to eat with him and my room mate and stuff like that) and he'd snap Name Redacted: During the first week of my blog, I reblogged some sort of meme thing, I don't even remember what, and I responded. Then he started sending me asks about silly things like ships. Which was cool because someone who wanted to write with me already yay. But the last ask of the night which followed after a bunch of goofy fluff ideas being thrown around was his headcanon measurements of Shinjiro's junk. Name Redacted: That was already a warning sign but I waved it off because I was excited to write with someone. Name Redacted: I don't like complaining about someone. I hate being an awful person because it makes me cry and feel like shit. I just can't do bad shit like that without making myself cry. But dammit. The way he's overly attached and will send me things about ideas on what I should write or things Name Redacted: I need to cosplay because "melts, SHE IS YOU" Name Redacted: I want to be making this up. I want to just sound like a bitch, even if I do anyway. But dammit it freaks me out so bad. I'll post memes even now, especially fluffy ones or just inquiry, and he will always end up in my ask box. Look. You've made quite a large number of people uncomfortable. Between those who are underage and of age, male and female, and so many other types of people. You've made a bunch of people unhappy and make them quite uncomfortable. Yes. You are socially awkward and have people problems. That's understandable. Yet, when you get into bouts of depression, and so many of us try to help you, and you essentially tell us to fuck off and not take our help into consideration until AFTER you've pissed us off too much to keep helping, it makes all of us feel like absolute shit.

Being socially awkward is one thing, but that does NOT warrant you flat out creeping on, hitting on, flirting with, or otherwise pushing your ideals and hell, even yourself on others. The list goes on and on with the number of people who have noticed all the little things that you've caused. Some people have flat out stopped posting for a bit because they're uncomfortable. Yes. You have issues. We all do. But that doesn't mean you're a special snowflake that needs to be taken care of more than the rest of us.
