"--I didn't come here for pleasure."
It mattered not, a woman was in his presence and the yearning to woo such a lovely creature was boiling within the host. Hibiki obeyed the wishes, giving a simple bow for a greeting gesture.
” Nevertheless, it’s always a pleasure to see you. “

” What can I, or Blue Pegasus do for you today? “

|| Arranged 'Love" ||
caelestis-accensus
Judgement could be placed.Tears could be shed, and yet Hibiki felt nothing but sheer regret knowing he would now be owned by another. Yet, another would be his own property. Although true, this was something Hibiki would not accept. Claiming a person as if an item to be said 'mine'. Truly, they would become each others. Even if they had been engaged for a while. Since they were younger, and with years taring through the youth, who knew what have became of her. Could life had been cruel? Have been kind to this kindred spirit? Vaguely, he didn't remember a face. Only green. Green as the grass below the castle grounds. Green-- the color of envy and deceit. Yet, Hibiki felt nothing of deceiving in the room, just anxiety at all time high. Higher then the rib vaults that held the structure together. Eyes wandered to the groom, the prince to be wed. Himself.
Each pair of iris' connected to his as his own hazel's stared out of the audience. Nearly all important people. Not important to know each name. Yet, not one similar face to be recognized, and surely then, Hibiki felt the anxiety too.
Nonetheless, a smile did form once the bride had been revealed-- somewhat. A veil covered the face he was etching to see. Even a part of him felt guilty for wanting her to be pretty. Looks weren't everything-- Hibiki should know that. Thoughts swarmed the poor man's mind until realization took a hold when a woman stood beside him.
-- H E R.
What was her name again? It had started with a different letter that wasn't common. The letter- B perhaps? No-- K. Yes, the letter K it was. Now the rest of the syllables would have been nice to remember.
A bigger worry crept in. What if-- she was disappointed by his looks? Who would be? Every girl in the room was biting down on expensive fabric, envious of the bride to be. Hibiki was wanted around the kingdom, this woman should know the importance in marrying the likes of him. No matter how many virtuous women he claimed by his hand. Though-- she could be d i f f e r e n t.
Interrupted, by the preaching. All gathered here to today, to celebrate the marriage of this man, and woman. None opposed, and how desperately others eyes were to raise a hand. None dared. A royal with another royal. This was how the system worked. How could unlikely people stand a chance?
Man and wife. And not even a glimpse of his mistress.
"--I do."

"Is this business-- or for pleasure~?"
"It's not everyday a Fairy Tail woman graces the halls of Blue
Pegasus with such an elegant presence."
Pushing out the charming words as if he had time to practice then before the golden blonde arrival to the estate. Hibiki had fashioned himself to be the leading man of such charm. Now he had every right to make sure that title had meant something. Being number one didn't come with things handed to you.

They glided along together, arm and arm fitting nice tangled with one another. The host could easily sense a good friendship blooming between the two of them, and in high hopes, she felt it as well. Lucy, was much easier to talk to then other women her age or the same age as he began to be. Young women looked for qualities in a man his age. Maturity to its finest, money beyond compare, and the looks that wouldn’t drain out and become weary. Being that as it may, Hibiki was in the running to being that thing women were attracted to, but if time was on good terms with him, he would last a few more years to come. Then settle down, be at ease. Then would his money come to a greater advantage. Though the life Hibiki had would surely slip right through his fingertips, it didn’t make him at all sad at what he life could be after he threw some old habits aside. Opening new doors, experiencing things he wanted. Maybe being the man he wanted to be.
It was a nice thought, indeed.
“This might come off as a shock to you, but I do love a good
competition. It is a contributing factor on why I had brought up
Loke in the first place. My, he was fresh meat when the magazine
company acknowledged him. With a clever mind too, and not many
new men introduced had such an experienced mouth. With him
shining in the spotlight, it was a great time for me to sit back and let
him have his fun. Plus, I knew that Loke was a spirit, and didn’t have
a lot of time. I will say that I had a big grudge against him for the
longest time. For—not the right reasons.”
Just thinking about how three years of his life had been nothing but holding something that wasn’t needing to be held. Hatred was nothing to be tampered with. In the eyes of evil, your lust for revenge could woo a wicked smile. There was no need for Hibiki to be in such grieve anymore. It was the past, and no, it wouldn’t come back to haunt him anymore. Hopefully, this was a sign and a way to move on. Unless, there were questions that needed answering. Quite frankly, there were, but not for the ears of the mistress that held onto his arm. For the mean time, there was no need to worry about this little memory of a grudge.
“It’s a well-rehearsed story, and we’ve already discussed it.
Furthermore, I would assume it would be best to stay off that
topic--.”
Ah yes, romance. A refreshing subject. Let’s focus all the energy on something he was rather good at. But of course, there were many ways Hibiki could respond. The mentions of the classical play was brought to attention, therefore he had plenty to speak of; seeing as he was fond of such a story. Not his idle cup of tea on how things were portrayed, though, it had a good grasp to the viewers. That made it memorable.
“I wouldn’t put myself in a situation like that, unless cupid shot me
dead in the bottom with an arrow. That’s how it seemed when
Romeo first saw her—love at first sight is what I recall it being. That
hasn’t ended well for most people.”
Not to mention names. Hibiki was private enough to keep certain gossip a closed case.
“I agree a slower approach is healthy for each partner. It personal
benefits either side to know if there is a potential mate within the
other. Isn’t that the point of dating? People honestly don’t know the
difference between dates, and hook ups it seems. Being mentioned
as a playboy—it’s good for the attention, but sends the wrong
message to people.”
“What do you think when hearing the words, ‘That man is a playboy?’”
