Hiatus update
I don't think it's fair to leave my followers in the dark for so long, so here's an update- I won't be coming back to this blog unless it's to reply to an old thread someone else has replied to that I really like. I'm no longer accepting anything new for this blog. That being said, I love Shintato to death and as I did have fun while this blog lasted, it's outran the time of enjoyment to the point that it's become more stress than what is healthy. Thanks for your patience!

You’re still… making things worse. Well, what had he thought would come out of kicking the issue under a metaphorical rug? He bites his lip, eyes wandering from the prospective gifts up to Shintaro’s face, which seemed an uncomfortably more urgent issue. Still, the last thing he’d expected to see was a wavering, a shimmer—surely, he wasn’t…
He knew what it was like to have a power he couldn’t control—as far as Hibiya was concerned, those eyes that were fixed on something he couldn’t know might not be all that different than his own, blinding him with places no one else could see. That… was his way of asking for a way out, right?
I have to… I have to help. “You’re right, huh? Nothing much is here, so…” With a surprising assertiveness, he takes Shintaro’s sleeve, nodding as the charms are left on the rack, eyes determined if still their usual brown. “Let’s go, Shintaro-san.” Cheeks reddening slightly—he was doing something embarrassing, he’s certain—he tugs at the older boy’s wrist, intending to steer them towards the door. Out in the fresh air, where the bad thing could at least be ran away from, that’d be—
Perhaps he’s being childish about it. Just because he would want to flee away scared—it was strange to think of Shintaro doing the same, yet… he wanted to help. With Shintaro, didn’t he have a debt to repay? He breathes out, glancing at him, before mumbling, tentative. Concerned. “Shintaro-san, are you… alright?”
The tug on his arm comes as a shock, jerking him out of his partial trance, and he realized that Hibiya was leading him out. Maybe he was taking his suggestion for what it was -- but that was just hopeful thinking. Hibiya was much smarter than that; not to mention, Shintaro was doing a really bad job at hiding his emotions.
His fears were confirmed when, as they finally exited to a place where he could breathe -- Hibiya asked the fatal question.
Are you alright?
It was easy enough to say he was fine, but it was another to get someone to believe it. Ahh, to think something as simple as getting a gift could come to this...what in the world was Hibiya thinking, asking someone like him?
“Yeah, I’m fine,” He gave a nervous grin (still, he couldn’t exercise proper social skills), still refusing to meet Hibiya’s eyes. In the back of his mind, he wished Ene was with him, but that just made his train of thought spiral downward again.
“I just...I’ve never had good stamina, you know?”

~ Thank you!
When I joined this fandom, I was just a tiny little soulless fluff. I gained so much love by being here and making so many wonderful, precious friends. It’s silly. I barely know many of you all, and yet…
Hee hee hee.
This is just my first bias list, but I hope to make so many more in the future. All of you mean so much, even if we may only watch each other from a distance. So I wanted to use this as a chance to share this feeling of happiness and write about some of the people that have helped make my roleplay experience so wonderful. I’m a little new at this kinda thing. Please forgive me in advance.
First half is the biases. The second half is for me to gush a little over some of my friends and will be under the Read More.

shintaro is secretly super emotional, but once he grows a little (post-str) he matures and becomes slightly more forward about his caring for the dan in particular (that is, preparing/saving up for gifts in advance, carefully selecting the items and whatnot). but he’s always super afraid of giving them out so he does whatever he can to not be there when they’re opened
#ooc#a lot of it is to make up for lost time#and the other part is just. appreciation#they've done so much for him#and deserve much better than him as a friend#and he just...especially after all the loops are over#he knows the weight of a life and how easily it can be taken due to the memories of the routes#he can't take them for granted and won't#they're family to him and he couldn't live without them#and don't even get me started on mOMO#{{ headcanon.

#ooc#I HAVE A HALF HOUR TO COME UP WITH A L L THESE CHRISTMAS GIFTS#HERE I GO OOOOOOOOOO#THIS I WHAT I GET FOR HIATUSING

He approaches somewhat timidly, a little less guarded than for other people. Somehow, Shintaro had gotten him to be just slightly more genuine. "Merry Christmas, Shintaro-san," he says, holding out a package containing some festive bed socks. He glances away. "I thought they'd be good... for in the night. Since it's getting colder." Hibiya had doubts about getting himself a pair, though. Overheating... was a little too much.
He’s startled out of his thoughts by Hibiya’s voice, and his gaze flickers down to see the boy with a package in his hands. You didn’t have to is on his lips, but something inside him entertains the ridic- ulous thought that maybe people wanted to do things for him. Besides, he remembers how sad Momo would get when Shintaro would say such things when they were kids and she did things for him. Of course, Hibiya isn’t nearly as young as Momo was, but this kind of thing applied to most people, didn’t it?
He gingerly takes the package before opening it, trying not to show too much haste - that would be childish - as he exposes the socks inside. Ah…how cute. He never thought of taking care of himself in these ways, either. The concept of friendship crosses his mind, but he quickly brushes it away – he knows those thoughts lead to more dangerous ones.
“Thank you, Hibiya.” Shintaro smiles, a small one, but it’s as genuine as he can manage (even if this gift is something he actually appreciates a lot), and puts the gift back in the box so he can take them home later. After all, he doesn’t want Hibiya to have to witness him putting on socks. They’ll have to be washed, anyway.
“Seriously. I really like this, it’s…very kind of you…”

It could be hard to tell what some people wanted around the holidays, sometimes, but it was especially difficult if the person in question wasn't quite as easy to shop for in general. Still, she makes an attempt, and the package labeled 'Kisaragi Shintaro' is left under the tree for his eventual discovery. It probably didn't seem like much, just a new pair of headphones and a screen protector for his phone, but she'd been at a loss, here.
A longer glance than he would’ve liked around the tree led him to discover a package labeled with his name. He really didn’t expect anything, so he looked twice, and it was still there.
Shintaro picked up the box (quietly, he didn’t want any unnecessary attention) and took it to one of the empty back rooms, before carefully opening it up.
His eyes lighten up at the two gifts -- he always appreciated an update on the headphones (each time they made a new set, the sounds seemed better and better) and a screen protector to keep the “incident” from happening again. Smiling, he put the items back in the box for safe keeping until he got home, before looking for the person to thank.

It's the big day at last. Once more, a package is left, doorbell rung, footsteps pattering away -- the final present is in a large, Santa-patterned gift bag, and the tiny card on the handle reads 'To: Shintaro Kisaragi, From: Santa-san.' Inside is an assortment of shoujo merchandise, from a few volumes of manga to cute keychains and buttons. No figures, though, and a larger Christmas card inside explains why: "DISGUSTING," it says, and that seems to be the final hint of Santa-san's identity.
Upon opening the gift bag, he’s surprised to see all of his embarrassing interests packed inside. He’s not com- plaining, of course – he was ecstatic (on the inside). He’s certainly glad to add all this to his collection.
Then he sees the card…calling him DISGUSTING.
Well, that could be anyone.
And, for the first time in a long time, he laughs.

Running over, she practically tackle hugged the other. Hugging him tightly, she smiled. "Merry Christmas!"
“Ah-” At first he recoiled, his aversion to physical contact still remnant after all this time, but he softened as it regi- stered that it was just Mary, and she seemed rather happy.
“Oh, Merry Christmas.” Shintaro replied, ruffling her hair.
