Evaluation 1st Term

This term had 6 main areas, 3d workshop, degital work, ceramics, movie/ video and animation.

Maskes

The marsks are apart of the 3d workshop project for this term. i went with a mayian/ tribal  look so i draw out sevral designs and then take the visaluse and then exspand apune that to get the final design. 

The reason for the Miya astetice is that i like the patense and the expressions plus the colour scheme.

Story boarding

The story boarding is apart of the movie and video editing project for this term. with this project i injoyed coming up with a idea and the try to create a easy to follow story by using perspective. I chooses to add the blue lights is that i was trying to pravoce a sence of wonder and this would peak the viewers interest.

a thing that i could improve is to try and do more complex shots on the story board.

River wreck cave

this was my favourite part of the cause this term as i enjoy world building as i practice world building at home. A problem i had was trying to fill serten gapes on my main work. the reason i like wold building is that i rely enjoy fleshing out world and add a spice of personality in to them.

Test 3 (before perspective study's)

i did this in my lunchtime before we went through this with the rest of the other student’s.I tried to do a circular/ distorted perspective like a sphere camera. and mapped out how i would do it.

Small Model Interpretation

this is were we took images of small models of a train set and draw features that you can see at fist i kept to this but as i was doing the 3 one i decided to make them more like people than there deformed images. (the images are in order of creation, and as a note each images are bottom to top instead of the general top to bottom excepted the last two) the near the end i decided to deform it more.(i did give my reasons for this shown in Research 8)

Rocks To Creatures

with these creatures we started with a rock hence the rock in the title. we look for features that could be a eye, a leg, a mouth or a body shape.

With most of the monsters I took the shape then went wild with features and ideas. The only two were I kept close to the original rock are the top left ones, the meany armed one and the bug with a rock for a shell.

plus a lot of them are bast on a lovecraftian theme of hard to explain forms and features.

the images up above are lovecraftian/ cosmic monsters and beings of grand and mystical powers that would send a human insane.

these creatures are hard to describe that makes the horror in the books or comics in witch they are features in.

the reason why i like these creatures is that there interesting and there fun to draw.

Research 7

A movie with really good animation could...

RED LINE

This movie is about a man who enters this race could the red line. The movie is know for it animation that makes the viewer feel the speed of the cars/ races and it uses bending and recoil to add to the feeling that these cars are fast.

The movie uses the camera to or so convey the intensity of the speed of witch this cars a going at.

Animation 2 (process of animation)

Max Fleischer was a polish man how moved to america to work on cartoon.

He is now for a lot of thing but one off those is his work on Rotoscoping between 1914 and 1916.

He utilise Rotoscoping as it was close to real life/ realistic movement  as real life follows the laws of physics, that are used in the 12 principles of animation.

Another factor of animation is frames per second or fps for short, that means how meany frames are utilised to convey speed or weight of characters or actions.

these to videos focuses on animation but one is a criticism of a show and the other one is a educational video on the 12 principles of animation.

With this test i tried to keep outlines to a min-amen.

A big problem with having no outlines that colour merge or are hard to see the shapes/ forum of the thing your trying to convey. and i forgot to do Mario’s button on his dungarees (i know about that there is no m on his hat) plus the version of Mario is his CDI appearance.

Cabin In The Woods

With this movie i struggle to enjoy it as only one character i liked and didn't immediately say in my mind this’s characters are boring and i was correct but i found the ending part to be the better part of the movie for me.

as it undo all that has happen by having all the creature escape and marred every one in the secret facilities.

i found the movie to be muh to me.

the difference between the lower and upper image is that one is in inverted and had photocopied version will the other one is the originals.

the reason for the layout is that i set up in the way that it had a thoughground with 3-4 layers.

reason though the things i chose to make it buzzar and strange.

Away to improve in my opinion is to look for more interesting images to use.

This is a trial/ practice will i was waiting for lunch to end.

the reason for this is that i liked the look of oney (youtube animator) with is stiyle of rinkly characters design.

Animation

out of all of the parts of my cause that I've done this is were a good amount of my free time is watching sorts and other forms of animation. but with this blog ill be focusing on a group of videos.

fist video is less of me doing the blog that diverting you attention to a video made by a content crater on YouTube that goes by the name of Gigguk how basses his content on anime and the break down of themes and his most popular being comedic videos mostly around anime.

the video is a break down on certen aspects of animation in anime and its development over the years will again adding comedic and perv level jokes in there as he usually does but that doesn't detract form hes point.

her are the other videos and my thoughts on them( the reason that i put the gigguk first as it had no rel events to the other and it is better to get that out of the way)

the first is a mixes with me as the are clear bits were the animation is fluid but a good portion of the animation was choppy to say the least and detracts from the appeal for me , but please not this is a subjective opinion. plus the girls walk cycle is unsettling and is wired to me.

the video above is a good example of fluid animation and applies certen effect such as distortion of anatomy to imply motion and uses squish and stretch that or so appeals to distortion, another point is that it changes frame rate contently to implied that he was changing speeds as the character makes his escape.

i really liked this form of animation even though the line art was noticeable but it didn’t detract from my opinion on the animation.

these animation aren't top tear perceptional works but are more on the comedic side than the talent, but the animation is at a level that fits with the joke or the song.
