The chubby orange tabby that occasionally prances through is back. It has a collar now, with a tag that he seems very proud of, if the way he puffs his chest is any indication. If one were to Look closely, they would learn the tag has no phone number or address, just the words Round Table. Whoever named that poor cat should be impounded.

Incorrect. It's the perfect name, because the Archivist is going to use it as a table. A table for his face, specifically. As soon as the cat settles down on his desk, Jon leans down and buries his face in its fur, sighing heavily.

"If you don't mind, Mr. Table, I may be some time here."

"Everyone getting along? No fires?"

"'Getting along' might be putting it strongly, but... No. No fires," Jon assured her. He was even more relieved than he'd thought to have her back, and not only because it meant he'd shortly be transferred back to his own Archives. His most constant company for the past month had been a crude ghost that had almost (not almost, had) convinced him to supply it with pornography. "No tragedies either, though I--I found... I went looking for something in your office, and the drawer was locked, and that fucking ghost implied it'd be worth my while to--to break into it, so I--do you regularly threaten Johannes Cabal?"
