oh. god. i just made it to credits in yk2. im literally in tears with hands shakin' a little. and so you know, it's very hard to bring me to tears.

when end credits started with such a cliffhanger and were not ending i thought that's it? that's how it's gonna end? and knowing that it was few years before yakuza 3 release-- but i sat through it and post-credits scene. yeah.

kinda wanna talk about this ending though

SPOILERS FOR YAKUZA 2 BELOW JUST IN CASE

ok oh uh this ending shaken me up a bit haHA need to calm down

i thought i was sad in the end of yakuza 0. but i knew it all was only a prequel besides endings for bot kiryu and majima left me with some kind of hope despite everything what happened. and the KIRYU-CHAN smirk smirk end scene made me smile so yea. but in y2. fuck, man

my friend wasn't kidding about japanese people being the kings of drama (in a good way). the whole story in y2 was top-tier -- ofc i loved yakuza 1 but pacing and story bits felt kinda off. the beginning was BAM BAM BOOM and then _____ and oop its ending already (also heartbreaking but still hopeful like y0). devs made their homework - pacing, story, characters everything feels better in y2, i was pleasantly surprised not that i was waiting for something worse. and this ending...

i was kind of mad and sad we got 3 minutes of majima after whole 2 in the first game (majima everywhere doesn't count) but at least he made an appearance in final seconds (AND I'LL COME BACK TO THAT) so i guess its alright 'cause i was like HELLO WE LITERALLY MASSACARING OUR WAY THROUGH UR CONSTRUCTION SITE WHERE ARE U? (after whole thing i imagined kiryu told majima beforehand NOT to follow him and do not go on top of there no matter what :) ). but lets put this aside for a while

who i WISH had more screen time is ryuji. from the very start he caught my eye tho im not the type to fall in love with villains that often. but OH BOY THE ENDING MADE ME CRY FOR THIS BIG SCARY DUMB BLONDE MAN UEEGHHHH like. i broke at the moment he asked kaoru to smile. but we'll get back to that later as well

when we got to the first part of the battle with him i nod to myself and said yeah. let's finish this.

but on the second part AFTER THOSE PLOTTWISTS WITH TERADA AND OTHERS (KJFSJFKSDLJK??) when a scattered moment ost hit i got literal chills. and how there wasn't rock or electro through the whole thing, just intense piano song -- perfect

kaoru making her way back on stairs made me chuckle but what happens after. still wanna cry. the whole scene between brother and sister who found each other in the very last moment feels so right yet so, so sad... yea im talkin obvious things here but i was never good with analysing and talking big words. sigh. how ryuji was saying having cute little sister and asking her to smile one last time for him... i just cracked. ryuji goda is definetly one of my favs now. am i gonna make an au where ryuji lives? hell yes i am

and how kaoru and kiryu were making out and hugging waiting for the end??????? THE bittersweetness, man. ofc, im a kazumaji enjoyer but the kiryu/kaoru sideplot felt right in its place. i wanted kiryu to have bits of love and happiness after yumi, after 2005 millenium tower incident. im glad he got it, even for a very very short time. and when he hugged kaoru tighter, asked her if she's scared? and she said yeah but at least it's warm? got me shred me into tiny pieces.

and the COUNTING when they showed everyone during last seconds???? i even hold my breath. glad they showed majima and nishida watching the hills. poor haruka though, baby's been through enough already. i covered my face with my hands and cried

and then they had the AUDACITY to cut in black screen and roll credits (with great songs btw). i just. sat there. empty. i thought no this can't be it there's five more fuckin games they couldn't just end it like this and release y3 years later?

the post credits scene haha. i saw a glimpse of the beginning of y3 and i know why kaoru was never seen again in future games so dont give me this happy smile standing with flowers girl :^)))))) i just hope they will explain everything and i can forgive her for leaving my man after all this

oh and who was kiryu referring to talking about old friend of his who chose to fight to find a meaning in life (or smth along those lines)? i have my guesses but i wanna hear the answer from someone who knows for sure

AND ONE MORE THING THAT DOESNT CLICK FOR ME - HOW THE FUCK DID THEY GET A WHOLE B O M B UP THERE? DID MAJIMA JUST OH KAY YOU FIGHTING KIRYU-CHAN? BOMB SURE GONNA ADD SOME SPICE TO IT GO AHEAD??????? and how the whole majima construction area was clear for kiryu to fight with mafia haha
