someone give me a plot where a big bad ( nearing has-been status ) pop-star muse a needs to rehabilitate his career and muse b, the girl next door type, gets caught talking to him at a ritzy party that she’s been dragged along to / attempting to network at. the tabloids snap pictures automatically assume that they’re dating and when his publicist realises that this might just be the jolt his career needs, they convince muse b to agree to this fake whirlwind romance that ends in marriage by either paying off her student loans etc. or helping with her career as she wants to be an actress / singer and then all ANGST bc they don’t get along when the cameras aren’t there and lots of ‘CAN’T WAIT TIL WE CAN FINALLY GET DIVORCED’ and also ‘CAN YOU LOOK LIKE YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO BE WITH ME LOOK AT THESE PAPARAZZI SHOTS YOU LOOK FUCKING MISERABLE’ but then maybe eventually somehow they fall for each other but are both too stubborn to admit it and even mORE ANGST

Not ever enthusiastic of the few women that have approached him through years, but enthused about the plausibility of affections. No, he is not the sort to allow someone a mistaken perception of his views in regard of them. If someone mistakenly believes he feels more than he truly does, then he will correct them and prevent further infatuation. Young lad does not want to hurt another with thoughtlessness, and so, Nate cares for them instead, reassuring them of friendship, of companionship he can offer, but not love… that he is waiting still to find. 

With her… with Charlotte, is different, there is innocence embedded at heart, one that has captivated him deeply, enough to ponder what it would be like to walk alongside one another through life, perhaps… hold her hand, bystand a radiant smile as bright as the sun itself. Ebony haired man laughs with a wholehearted, boyish laugh. “I am not a prince, but I am sincere”. Fingers reach for her wrist, softly touching her skin, smiling broadly as he gently brings her closely. “What do you say, miss Charlotte, will you let me try to win your heart the right way?”. Pads of his fingers trail at her palm before letting go, both hands tucked into his trousers as he waits patiently. “—I give word that I won’t play around and be honest as I always have been”. 

Her eyes studied his expression as she waited for a laugh or something to signify that he was just kidding but when it did not come, Charlotte smiled. “Just when I think I know what you’re going to do, you—” She cast her gaze downward and watched as his fingertips trailed along her palm. In an instant, her stomach flooded with butterflies and she felt incredibly nervous. She wasn’t entirely sure why. It wasn’t as if they had never touched before, or showed one another any affection but this was different; it felt different. His intention was clearly different and it allowed her to see him in a different light. Prior to this, she thought nothing romantic would brew from her friendship with Nathaniel. He was incredibly sweet and very quickly became someone she knew she could count on. She just hadn’t considered a future wherein he’d try to win her heart. Let alone doing so correctly, whatever that meant. 

“Nathaniel ...” She gently tucked her hair behind her ear as her eyes met his, seeing him wholly for the first time since they had met. Merely seeing him smile and the sincerity behind his eyes, it was much too difficult for her to resist. Despite her fears of potentially losing him throughout this process, she just had to take a leap of faith. “Absolutely. Although, I have to admit that I don’t really know what wooing anyone actually entails, or what it’s really like to be wooed. The entire process is a total mystery to me,” she said as her expression crinkled slightly in confusion. “Am I supposed to play hard to get? Or pretend that I’m not impressed? Can I plan things for us to do? Is that allowed? Or am I supposed to—” She paused, realising that she was rambling again. “I— maybe I should leave this all up to you?”
