Blood Gulch Chronicles Summary Post
The Blood Gulch Chronicles consists of Seasons 01-05 and the Out of Mind miniseries. On the official RvB YouTube, there are one hundred main series episodes, five miniseries episodes, fourteen PSAs, four special episodes, and one bonus episode.
Sixteen episodes, ten PSAs, three special episodes, and the bonus episode have no ladies at all.
Eleven episodes and two PSAs have, at most, ladies mentioned but not appearing.
Four episodes and one PSA have, at most, ladies in non-speaking appearances.
Sixty-nine main series episodes, five miniseries episodes, one PSA, and one special episode have speaking ladies.
Of the seventy-three main series episodes with ladies (speaking or not), thirty-two have multiple ladies in them.
Only one of those thirty-two episodes has ladies speaking to each other; this episode also passes the Bechdel test.
In the Blood Gulch Chronicles, four ladies appear: Sheila, Tex, Sister, and Caboose’s mental version of Donut. Carolina is also mentioned in one episode.
There are five lady deaths in these seasons; all of them are either Sheila or Tex.
Tex has the most appearances out of all the ladies.
Season 05 has the best track record of all the seasons; it features all five ladies in the series and has only one episode with no ladies.

05x23: Why Were We Here?
Tex tries to get O’Malley to possess her instead of one of the blues. She negotiates with him in Caboose’s head, dying in the process. She gets on Sheila’s ship and explodes in the sky.
Sister talks to Doc about trying to help Flowers.
Caboose’s mental version of Donut greets Church.
Sheila reunites with Lopez. In her ship, she takes off and explodes, killing her in the process.
This episode has the first on-screen interaction between two ladies, as an O’Malley-possessed Tex tells Sheila to launch, and Sheila does so. This is technically also a Bechdel test pass.
