"Can't ever say I'll hate hearing your voice, Sunrise." She was glad to hear the other was still alive; in a world where every hour could mean life and death, after a few days, she wasn't sure if she'd get to talk to her radio friend again. "Shit." Toni cursed into the radio, upon hearing that the others' batteries were taking a hit. "Okay, okay, just give me a second, okay?" She didn't know why taking out a map was going to make a whole lot of difference, considering she didn't know anything about where the other was located. She did, however, know they shared a sunrise, which at least meant they shared a timezone, and that was something. "I don't exactly have every map I could need, but the library I got the map books from- it doesn't matter." The chances of getting a location were slim, anyways.
"Without a location, I can only give vague advice. Like toy stores. Kids toy stores will have just about every kind of battery you can think of. Small towns usually have family owned toy shops. Those are probably safest." She doubted anyone was wandering around a large city these days, anyways. "Look, I know giving away your location can basically be a death sentence." She allowed the crisp silence over the radio to linger, because her next ask was a heavy one. "But if you're willing, I could help."
They have been traveling for awhile, and the places that they stopped only lasted for a little bit. Thanks to everything that happened. But they had managed to find weapons, and a radio. Luckily. Eliana hated moving her sister from place to place but they had to keep moving to stay safe. There was a small sigh that escaped her lips, there were on their last batteries for the radio. So hopefully she was able to hear something today. Something that could help.
Her sister was still asleep, Eliana had been up for most of the night, just watching to make sure nothing got them. Staying up all night was something that she was used to doing. Afterall she was all that Sofia had now in this fucked up world. Hearing someone's voice, it was one that she heard before. Just wasn't sure if it was legit or not. There had been others, that hadn't been legit and well they just wanted to steal their stuff. But the two had them had been talking for awhile. So there was a big chance that the other was legit and wanted to actually help.
"I'm here, Toni." She spoke into the radio. "Long night and it's nice to see you return and that you got your radio fixed. I'm almost out of batteries over here." She admitted into the radio.

The day the Old World ended, happened so long ago, even Myka found it easy to forget the New World wasn't always the norm. She was thirty-four now, and had been an adult at the time the dead began to animate - and yet, it she sometimes found herself forcing memories of what the world had been like. Hard, certainly. Cruel, most definitely. The whole end of the world thing wouldn't have even been a bother - except it was always those already on top that had the best chances. It disgusted her, really. Why couldn't the dead have an 'eat the rich and politicians' radar?
At the end of the day, Bea had been someone she trusted most in the world. Even before. There wasn't a single person she could think of, to spend the apocalypse with. When a governing military quickly began standing above, they seemed like the best worst choice to make. The decision quickly proved to be the biggest mistake Myka made. That mistake ended with the death of her best friend. She wasn't trained like Bea - being a veterinarian and animal trainer, she was thrown into being some makeshift people doctor. Told to train dogs for combat. It was awful, but what chance did she stand out there on her own, for long term? She had no combat skills, and was deaf.
It was rare the animal lover left the safety of the compound she lived in, but whenever she did, it was for an animal ninety percent of the time. The other ten percent was for a child. This time, was an animal. Reports of a malnourished looking dog had found Myka's ears. And this was the building it was spotted in frequently; what choice did she have but to go rescue the poor thing?
Silence wasn't her best skill, no matter how hard she had tried. Needless to say, she hadn't heard the voice call out to her. She was struggling in the dark, which truly was a worst nightmare for the woman, but made her way to the beam of light, holding up a disco ball she had made from glass and a baseball. It didn't brighten things entirely, but it was more than sufficient. Except, as her eyes adjusted to the new light, she turned to see a gun pointed at her direction, causing her to raise the hand not holding the ball in the sunbeam.
"I'm only here trying to find a dog." She tried to explain, not particularly wanting to be shot.
━━ ✦ 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍 : anyone 30+ ━━ ✦ 𝐏𝐋𝐎𝐓 : post-apocalypse/zombie. the world went to hell almost 10 years ago and nothing had been the same ever since. your muse and beatriz were close before everything happened but lost contact due to the world ending. beatriz has been with a group of survivor called phoenix who have been deemed outlaws. they got separated and beatriz hide and your muse find her by accident. we can plot this out, it could be fun for your muse to be from the government of something similar. ━━ ✦ 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 : made with beta
These runs seemed to get more dangerous every time, the governing body training even more soldiers to make the rounds. And they were taken them younger every time, some of the faces Beatriz had seen barely 16. She could only imagine what they had been promised, how sweet the offer had sounded. After all, they had made her one years ago, back when things were even more uncertain. Even back then, it had been tempting, so much that she had said yes, if only so she could have enough to eat everyday. That was how the Phoenixes had found her, the unruly trainee who seemed to clash with everything and everyone. Because once she said yes, everything changed and suddenly, nothing was as promised. She ran away in the dead of the night, looking for that group of survivors who did things differently. So differently that they were considered criminals. But what she found with them was worth fighting for. What they had was an oasis, one the government had been trying to find for years now.
The group she was with had been tasked with scavenging, hard but needed work. Except that they ran into some trouble and had to split up. It had been 36 hours now, or so she estimated. Beatriz must have felt asleep without realizing, fingers still curled around her gun. The place had seemed safe, abandoned. She had been exhausted and couldn't keep her guard up any longer. The other must have made some noise, even if small, because she suddenly jerked awake, firearm pointed in front of her. With her back against a wall, no one could crept up from behind her. The place was dark with only a small ray of sunshine entering it. "Leave," she whispered, unsure if they were alone or if any threats were near. Making too much noise was never a good thing, never knowing what it could attract. "I'm armed and I will shoot if you come close."

Sunrise Connections
Antonella had fixed a radio, and had started broadcasting a couple times a day, hoping to pick up on survivors with other radios listening in. She had done it for quite some time, despite not getting any responses. However, one day, she did get one. Of course, giving away her location was the one rule that was set by her group. It wasn't large by any means, and Antonella wasn't close with any of them - their relationships mostly consisted of the others looking to her for direction; but it was her own fault for giving it, and putting herself in the unwanted leadership role. Meeting up in a neutral location would be the option, but only after some time. And when the weather permitted.
All the time, and she had only found one person, and only in the last couple months; if that. Despite it only being so many weeks, Toni also found herself looking forward to their scheduled sunrise talks every morning. The last four sunrises, however, her radio hadn't been working - not only that, to make matters even worse, she was missing a part, and the weather hadn't been kind. But she had finally gotten hold of it and stayed up the night just to fix it. She only hoped the other would be on the other end this morning.
"Good morning over here from the Ant Hill.." She spoke when the sunrise began, hoping to hear the voice on the other end that she had become so familiar with. "Toni on mic, hoping to hear the voice of sunrise once more.."

"Stronger it is." She'd need stronger, too, if she were being honest. The one temptation from the man she did love, was in her home. Currently, she didn't have many thoughts about sex, as her priority was taking care of the clearly distraught woman. But she also knew enough to know a very simple fact - should Alex initiate something, she wasn't sure she'd be able to tell her no; wasn't sure she'd want to tell her no.
"As long as you need." Elise answered genuinely. It wasn't like her husband would be home for another five months, anyways. Not that she was expecting Alex to stay more than a few days. It all depended on the younger woman, and what had happened and how much time she needed to heal.
The blonde came back into the living room with a tray, which she sat on the coffee table. The tray contained everything needed to make old fashions, along with two already made. She handed Alex one of the glasses, taking one for herself, then sat on the couch beside her. Her arm wrapped around Alex's shoulders, and she couldn't help but place a gentle kiss at the side of her head.
"That's fucked up, baby." It was all she could muster after she was told what had happened, and she held the woman tighter. "Whatever you need." She promised, her thumb caressing Alex's shoulder. Of course, she knew who the best friend was, and couldn't help but be grateful Nora had broken both their hearts when she had.
Weakly smiling when Elise took her hand in her own before raising her other to wipe the tears away herself, Alex then gave the older woman's hand a squeeze as she thought for a moment about what she actually wanted. "Stronger," was eventually murmured. Head nodding as she was told to come inside and she stepped further away so she could go around the other to do just that, her eyes trailing over the interior. If she hadn't of been so distraught, she might have even made a comment about how nice her new place was. "For how long?" Not that Alex actually cared, she was just trying to make conversation to take her mind off what she had just endured.
Turning back around, she waited for Elise to close the door. Once she had, she followed the woman into the living room, head once again nodding as she moved over and sat down on the couch. Raising her hand up, Alex fidgeted with her necklace anxiously. "My best friend and girlfriend have been hooking up with each other behind my back," spoken without warning. A heartbroken breathy chuckle then fell. "My best friend..." Elise would have known who she was referring to since it was her sister's ex.

"You know house paint is permanent, right?" Cordelia asked while laughing. "You're lucky I'm not in cosplay." She teased, stretching out her arms. "Give me some sugar!" She stepped forward with the intention of embracing the other. Of course, either way, both her hands ended up shamelessly inside the paint can - before she proceeded to gently cup her best friend's face in her hands.
"Oops?" She feigned innocence with a playful wink, sliding her hands downwards to spread the paint - a wide grin appearing on her face, indicating she was very proud of herself, and was fully prepared to continue this paint fight. "I slipped?"
muse: Reyna Levy open: to anyone connections: roommate, close friends, fwb, anything really. plot-ish: Just a cute and fun thing. the two of them painting and it getting messy
"Oops you have a little something right...." Reyna trailed off and rolled the paint roller over the front of their shirt and began to laugh. "There." she said while unable to control her laughter as she looked them over. "The color suites you."

"N-not into-" Meredith didn't know whether or not to be confused or angry. Not angry at Davi, but with the situation. Her whole chest felt tight, and not with the usual anxiety, either. Maybe she was blowing this way out of proportion, but it was hard to not do so, given the already heightened emotions at the moment. "All I am is into you!" The voice came out as more of a defeated whisper with confidence than a shout. "But-but I don't want to be just.. just some other girl you- you... you k-kiss at every party." Tears were staining her cheeks once more, but this time from her own heartbreak.
"I..I wanted to be special to you.." She admitted with embarrassment, hanging her head to stare at the floor. "And..I thought I w-was.. but Bex told me ev-everything.." Nothing could stay inside tonight, it seemed - secrets. "And maybe- it's okay that.. that you kiss a lot of girls, but I-I..." How was she supposed to explain it without coming off like she was shaming Davi. "I just.. wanted you to kiss me.. just me. And you knew that..."
Staying quiet about everything seemed like the best of options after tonight. Or, at least as far as Bex was concerned. "Alex.." She answered singularly. "She was here.. Bex was- was lying. I-I never should have interrupted.. I was just.. so h-happy she was alive.." Looking back to her broken violin, she picked up a splintered wood piece, holding it in an open palm, staring at it. "I'm just a runt.." She whispered, more to herself. "I-I said.. and Bex was lying.. again. Alex is nice..she didn't deserve- I just told the truth.. about how long.. you know.." Guilt washed over her from all directions; not saying something sooner, and saying something at all.
"You're uhm.. like a hero.." Meredith whispered, barely above a whisper. "My hero.." She added impulsively, as she leaned forward and gently kissed Davi's cheek. It meant the world that Davi was willing to not worry Fletcher over this. Fletcher's worry came above her own want for Davi to expose all of it.
When Davi agreed to stay the night, more relief ran through the youngest Coleberk's body. Adjusting, she squirmed between the woman's legs, situating herself with her back mostly against her crush's chest, nose practically nudging against her neck, closing her eyes; refusing to let go of their intertwined fingers. "I.. like it." She admitted after a moment of silence. "I like.. feeling how angry you get on my behalf.. and uhm.. and I like feeling it go away, when- when I take your hand.. I can feel it when I'm close." The bed would be comfier than the floor. But jut a couple more minutes. "It- it makes me feel uhm.. safe."
Confusion once again etched it's way onto Davi's features. 'Not for this.' echoing in her head as she tried to understand what that actually meant. The kiss from the party that felt like forever ago then popped into her mind, and she immediately blew out a breath, knowing that it hadn't really been spoken about, mainly because Meredith didn't really seem that into it after that night, and Davi didn't want the younger woman to feel constantly awkward about it either. So she just never brought it up again "I know it's been a hell of a long time since it happened, but if you are talking about the kiss, then the only thing I am going to apologize for is me not being sorry about it happening, because I don't regret it. Not for one second. And I get that you're not into it, so this is the only time I'll bring it up." Pressing her lips together, her brows furrowed once more. "Should have stayed quiet about what?" Davi questioned before her head was shaking. "And no, Pixie, no matter what you did or said, it doesn't give her the right to go around breaking your violin and destroying some of your music sheets," indicating that she had definitely noticed the mess of papers on Meredith's floor. At the requested plea to not tell Fletcher, Davi immediately sighed, not feeling too good about keeping such a major thing a secret from her older sister, but she couldn't go against her wishes. "Okay, yeah," reluctantly agreeing. "I promise I won't tell."
Davi didn't know just how annoyed she actually was until she felt Meredith's hand unclench her balled up fist, and within an instant she began to feel herself calm down. There weren't many things that could relax her easily, but the younger woman was definitely one of them. "No, it's okay," was whispered back in response, she was unsure if she was going to be able to get back to sleep anyway, plus it wasn't like she was wearing something super uncomfortable.

"Well, however you got here, I'm glad you did." Juliette told the other with a smile, smoothly swooping in and taking the others' things. "Sounds like a plan to me, Princess." She turned back to the desk with a smile. "I'll take care of Miss Coleberk for the entirety of her stay. Could you please go ahead and mark her cabin down as to not be disturbed, love?" She asked her employee, who just smiled and agreed to do so, and told Fletcher to enjoy her stay.
"I don't think I can convince you to stay the whole weekend just yet." She told the other as she began to lead her to the cabin in question. "But maybe after the rest of today and evening, you'll reconsider." Juliette was hopeful for that. She pointed out a few things as they walked to one of the cabins.
"You may have also picked up that I don't just work here, by now." She commented with a small scrunch of her nose; she shared that trait with Delta. "I didn't mean to mislead you, but I just prefer how it sounds. You know, saying I work here, instead of I own the place." Opening the door for the woman, she allowed her inside. "This one has its' own sauna - and they all have their own hottub just out behind the cabin - but you're still welcome to use the hot spring bath house if you wish."
She sat Fletcher's belongings on the bed, and just smiled at her, a shoulder leaning against a wall of the place. "I was hoping to put your mind at ease a bit more, and have some takeout sent to your address for your sisters. One less thing for you to worry about?"
If you were to ask anyone, except Fletcher herself, then they would tell you without hesitation that the woman needed some time to herself. With being overworked, worrying about bills and money, worrying about how Meredith was doing, and especially worrying about Rebekah whenever she'd go on her wild benders for a week or so, she was honestly running herself into the ground. Though she could never actually admit to the fact that it was happening because her sisters needed her. It was why it took a lot of convincing from her boss and younger sister to reluctantly agree to take Juliette up on her offer to stay at her bed and breakfast for the night.
On the drive there, Fletcher even had thoughts about turning the car around and heading back home, still not feeling a hundred percent comfortable with what she had agreed to, though she managed to not let them win as she pulled into the driveway that led up to the woman's establishment, her eyes widening as she let out a breath. This place was absolutely gorgeous, and maybe it eased her worry about this being the wrong thing to be doing.
Pulling into a car space, she turned the vehicle off, unbuckled her seatbelt, grabbed the few things she needed, and got out of the car. Making her way to the main office building, she greeted the person behind the desk with a smile. "Hello, I was just wondering if-" Though her words got cut short when the person she was looking for came into view.
Chuckling lightly, Fletcher playfully shook her head. "Yeah, well, you almost didn't. It took a hell of a lot of convincing to get me here," she admitted playfully. "How about we get my stuff sorted in the cabin, and then you can take me on a tour?"

Akamaru, the Kuvasz dog, was the first to alert to Aiden coming home. As soon as Aiden was in the door, he was circling her legs over and over, tail wagging excitedly.
"You're home early!" Cordelia let out as she skipped half the stairs on her way down. Of course, Cordelia was mentally behind two days, as she had gone down a bit of a project rabbit hole - as could be seen by all the fabrics and fake weapons laying about. It was clear she hadn't eaten at the dining table for about a week now, and also likely hadn't eaten anything but takeout since Aiden had left. Needless to say, if she remembered the actual date, she would have been ready for her girlfriend to come home.
"You'll never guess who you're sleeping with this week!" Her arms wrapped around the red head's neck, as her legs wrapped around her waist - and she greeted the woman with a kiss. The woman wasn't insecure enough to believe the media; her own niche media had conspiracies of which tiktoker she was dating, as well. She had made amusement from finding out what the tabloids were saying about Aiden's latest conquest.
@arexyouxafraidxofxthexdark - starter from Aiden Brown
"Did you miss me?" Aiden asked, after moving inside of their home. The redhead had been on tour, which had been longer than expected but she certainly did miss being home. At this moment, she was just glad that they were home. That was what mattered, she had missed being there and coming home to them was always a plus in her eyes.

Marley had all but ignored Josephine after she hit the man - which was easy enough for her to do, as long as she didn't look directly at her. After it happened, she had given the red head a stern look, before taking her by the hand and leading her away from the incident. She didn't make eye contact again until after she had ice on the woman's hand. To Mars, it didn't matter if it was 'needed' or not - it was needed.
"Yes, you did." She responded, mostly gently, semi annoyed. Of course, it took her a moment to realize she hadn't read the words on her lips wrong - Josephine had used the word scared. Was that what she was worried about? Reaching out, Marley gently caressed the other woman's cheek.
"You don't scare me, Joey. My big sister is scarier than you are." She teased, moving herself to sit sideways on her girls' lap, arms around her neck. "You annoy me. I don't like violence. And you forget I can handle myself." Mars just didn't like to handle herself. She found it endearing the way Josephine would protect her, and she had to hate that she was sure the woman knew that, too. She assumed growing up with four older siblings who excelled in fighting and physical prowess did that. Well, three, as her brother, Madison, was more like her. Even still, they all would have approved of Josephine's actions. "But I didn't ask for help."
She would have, though. That man was relentless, and was minutes away from getting way too close and even physical with her. Sighing, she leaned in to place a soft kiss on the woman's cheek. "Apology accepted. I know it was hard. Want me to cook your favourite, later?" The deaf chef asked, smiling at the woman who held her heart.
@arexyouxafraidxofxthexdark - starter from Josephine Lockhart
"I screwed up. I know." It was rare for Josephine to admit that. The president of the Skulls MC, it was rare for her to admit whenever she was in the wrong. But this time she was actually in the wrong and well, she had to admit it. Even if it was hard for her to do. But in her defense, that guy had it coming. He had been all over them despite being asked to stop. So naturally, Joey knocked them out. It was just who she was. "You shouldn't be scared of me. I was just trying to help actually."

Devin had lost both of her parents less than a year before her own diagnoses; so when one of Billie's mom's died, she knew what that grief was like, and had done her best to be there for them. It made her want to fight even harder for her own life.
Something Billie didn't know about her, though? That would be hard. There was maybe only a handful of things off the top of her head that Devin could conceive. The first being her biggest desire - to become a mother. Of course, her current condition could never allow that. And she may not survive long enough to make it come true. Which is why she never says anything about it.
"How would you like to learn to read my notes?" She asked, finally landing on something. Not a single soul knew her shorthand when taking notes as a private investigator. Not even Cody.
@arexyouxafraidxofxthexdark - Billie & Devin (Me dusting off Billie for ya!)
"Tell me something about you that I don't know." Billie questioned, looking over at their girlfriend. Rubbing her feet that was in their lap. "I mean I like to think I know most things about you. But if there isn't something I would like to know." Of course Billie was usually recording things but not this time. Devin had been there when one of Billie's mother's passed away, so they had been thankful everyday that Devin was even still alive. So naturally they tried their best to check off whatever was on Devin's bucket list. Today, they were having an easy day, which they didn't mind.

Mazikeen wasn't sure if her heart was in her throat, stomach, or head - she felt the pounding everywhere, as her chest rose and fell in response and anticipation of Benny's words. "You're a fucking idiot, Benjamin." She spoke softly, almost lovingly. "I only didn't enjoy that I thought it wasn't real." She was semi aware of how hypocritical calling Benny an idiot was, considering she supposed she had been one, too. "Because I'm really into you, too." Did she just say that out loud? Never did she think she'd be at a point where she'd be openly admitting these things to Benny; especially while sober.
This time, Benny kissed her, and it was under transparency. This woman had real feelings for her - feelings that Mazikeen reciprocated, and had for a long time. She pressed her body against Benny's, wrapping her arms around the woman's neck. "Until the day you, die, huh?" She asked breathlessly, placing another kiss on the woman's lips, albeit short and sweet. "How many times have I predicted you'd propose?" She teased the other woman, unable to help that dynamic the two had created between themselves. "If I admit I'm damn crazy about you, too, do I have to share my bounties?" The biggest smile spread across her features, as one of her hands began gently playing with the woman's hair, still not releasing her arms from around her neck.
"I don't know... I just always thought you got annoyed because you didn't enjoy the fact that I was flirting with you, even though I couldn't help myself, because I was—and quite frankly still am—super into you," shoulders then lifting in a shrug. It always surprised Benny slightly just how clueless Mazikeen truly was to her feelings. She figured the more she flirted, the more the other would get the hint, but it never did happen. This was clear indication. Letting out a soft breath, her brows furrowed in confusion for a moment. "Wait, why did it feel stupid to think that my flirting could be real?" Was questioned.
"Maze... honestly, what the fuck?" she breathed out in bewilderment. "I honestly have no idea how many times I have to tell you that you're absolutely stunning, gorgeous, and beautiful for you to actually believe me, but I will dead set keep saying it until the day I die." And with that, Benny leaned forward, immediately crashing their lips together. "Seriously, I'm crazy about you."

"Fucking hell, I know, right? Don't get use to it, though." All the problems of the day disappeared with Shiloh. Especially with arms around her neck. Her own hands traveled down the sides of the woman's body, resting on her ass and giving a small squeeze. "Too many clothes." She whispered, nudging Shiloh's nose with her own. "And I'm staying the night." She mentioned, before kissing the other again, pulling their bodies flush against one another.
Talking about Alex was just going to dampen the high they both had - and Bex just got hers back. But if asked, she wouldn't lie or hide it or anything. It just seemed more pillow talk kind of thing. And then maybe more sex - guilt free sex.
Shiloh glanced at her curiously, allowing the words to slowly sink in. "Okay?" Was eventually let out as she then waited for what the other woman wanted to say, but what fell from Bex's lips had her chuckling softly, and she happily welcomed the smoke from the joint that was exhaled in her direction. "That may have been the most sappiest thing you have ever said to me," she commented before her arms wrapped around the other's neck, taking a step forward so that their bodies were flush against each other. Though if she was also sober then the guilt of hooking up with her best friend's girlfriend would have come crashing down on her like a ton of bricks, like it always did, but it was never enough for her to actually stop what was happening.

"Y-you don't have to be sorry.. Not for this." Her voice cracked through the tears as she spoke. And while she hadn't meant to slightly insinuate that there was maybe something Davi should apologize for, this was definitely not it. This wasn't her fault in the slightest. It was Meredith's own fault. "It's.. mine. I never should- I should have stayed q-quiet.." Her crying was making her stuttering worse again. She hardly ever stuttered around Davi, anymore, because she felt so comfortable around the other.
The kiss to the top of her head was confusing, and Meredith couldn't tell if she was angry or not with the confusion it brought. Ultimately, she decided she wasn't, because it brought her more comfort than anything else. "D-don't tell Fletch... please." Meredith begged as Davi got angry. In her head, Davi was still a morally grey fantasy villain, willing to burn down the town to help someone they cared for. Now, Davi may not care for Meredith in the way the violinist wished for, but she did care for her. "Not.. not any of it?"
Part of Meredith - quite a big part, actually - wanted Davi to get angry. Angry enough to tell Bex off for turning a blind eye as she was verbally and physically bullied at school the last few months. To tell Fletcher what Bex had said, and what she did tonight. To do what she thought would make things as right. Swinging a sword against enemies in one hand, whilst holding Meredith protectively close in the other.
Nothing about her room screamed interest in such things - minus the semi new fairy decor on her nightstand. But she found that sort of trope was only written in fantasy or supernatural novels. Or, written well, anyways.
Remembering when Davi was angry, her fists curled up tight, Meredith ran one of her hands over that fist - and much like she did the night at the diner before the party, she pushed it open to intertwine their fingers. As the dampness was wiped from her cheek, Meredith forced a thankful smile. The gratitude wasn't forced, but she couldn't bring words to her mouth at the moment - especially not in such a position with Davi of all people.
There was so much going on, unpacking all the sweet things Davi was saying to her was hard; so she didn't try. "Do you need pajamas?" She asked, barely over a whisper, not daring move from the position they were in.
A frown fell across Davi's face, absolutely hating what Rebekah had done to Meredith's violin, she knew how much it meant to the younger woman. "I know," was whispered. "I'm sorry," she knew she had nothing to apologize for, but she just hoped it counted for something, because she knew that she wasn't going to get one from Bex, not yet anyways. Though Davi also didn't know if Meredith would even accept her apology at this point, she had taken things a step too far with this one, and if she was being honest, she wouldn't blame her if she didn't.
Her heart then broke as she heard the other say that her sister didn't actually love her, wishing that there was some sort of way to make her believe her, but she understood why Meredith had such a hard time with it. Noticing movement from the younger woman, Davi moved to position herself to sit properly on the floor, welcoming her with no hesitation into her arms, holding her close as she began to cry into her chest and without thinking much of it, she turned and placed a tender kiss to the top of her head while a hand moved to run up and down her back in a comforting manner.
What made Davi's blood boil, however, was finding out that it was her best friend that had put those thoughts into Meredith's head; her own damn sister. "Wait, I'm sorry what?" Oh, how Bex had just dove head first over a line of no return. "Rebekah said what?" It was said in a more of a rhetorical way. "What the fuck!?" If Davi didn't have this broken woman in her arms, she wouldn't have hesitated one bit with going and confronting her best friend.
Pressing her lips together for a moment, she then smiled softly when the other finally pulled back to look at her. A hand rose upwards as she cupped Meredith's face, thumb gently swiping over a tear stained cheek. "I don't have anything better to do, and even if I did, then I would have cancelled or stopped what I was doing at the drop of a hat to make sure you're okay," was admitted. At the next question, Davi's head nodded. "Yeah, absolutely," spoken without a second thought. "There's no way I'm leaving you here alone like this."

Elisabetta moved her own hand, gently taking Alex's tear wiping hand in her own, and wiping the woman's tears, herself. "Beer, wine, or stronger?" She asked, caressing her cheek. "Come inside." She officially invited the other in. "He's overseas." She was alone more times than she wasn't, but she knew that would be the case when she first started dating the man. But neither wanted kids at the time, and the last time he was home, they spoke about it. And Elise wasn't entirely sure she wanted to have kids with a man who wasn't home half the time. The other option was for her to move onto a military base, but that would mean leaving her sister.
Locking the door behind them both, she realized she had never had Alex over in the new home. It wasn't huge by any stretch of the means, but it was big enough to have two extra guest bedrooms. "Make yourself comfortable." She told her, guiding Alex into the living room. She pulled a throw blanket off the couch, and put it over Alex's lap, crouching in front of her. "I'll get those drinks."
The minute that Elise had wrapped her arms around her, she did the same, clinging to her tightly. Her body was clearly trembling as she sobbed into the older woman's shoulder. "Th-thank you," she murmured. If Alex had even the slightest bit of knowledge that Elise wouldn't have actually gone through with getting married if she had shown up at the wedding, then maybe she wouldn't have allowed herself to take a chance at a proper relationship, because then it would have stopped her from falling in love and saved her from the heartache she was currently experiencing. Truthfully, before Bex came along, Alex may have been developing slight feelings for the older woman, which she supposed wouldn't have been the most ideal situation to be in either, but at least with Elise, she knew what she was getting herself into.
Nodding against her shoulder in response to her next question, Alex stayed in the embrace for a moment longer until she reluctantly pulled away slightly. Sniffling, she rose a hand to wipe the tears. "Oh, definitely beer." Right now she didn't want to feel anything, so, if there was a chance to get drunk, she'd gladly jump at that opportunity.

Meredith barely managed to nod her head when she was asked if Rebekah was the one that broke her violin. "It- it's my life.." Was. It was her life. Now it was broken. The dream of making it to Julliard, even on a full scholarship, and then graduating with a job that paid more than what she needed. Then Fletcher would never have to work another day in her life. And it would mean she would get to play music for the rest of her life. But they couldn't afford even another second hand violin. And if Fletcher knew, she'd work herself to the bone to try and replace it. Meredith would never allow that to happen.
"She d-doesn't love me.." It was whispered in anger, and she finally reacted to the hand over hers, and released her death grip on the violin. If Rebekah loved her, she never would have touched that violin. If she loved Fletcher, she never would have. Her sister was heartless. Her hands and fingertips had deep imprints of the strings, but nothing that wouldn't disappear in a few minutes. As she let go of the violin, she adjusted herself to sit up, and put herself in Davi's arms, crying into her chest.
"I-I didn't think it.. not until Bex did.." She softly admitted the source of the dark thoughts came from; after moments of silence as she tried to calm the tears again. Davi's shirt would have been soaked in the area Meredith's head was buried. The others' words were sweet and so genuine. She wanted to tell Fletcher exactly what Davi said, to show her that Davi was still different. Even if she didn't mean the kiss they had shared before.
After long minutes of silence, when Meredith felt numb and cried out, she finally pulled back just enough to look into her crush's eyes. "I know you have b-better things to do.. And I woke you up, I'm sure.. it's so late.. I-I just don't want to be alone tonight.. I can't bother Fletcher.. sh-she's finally relaxing.." A well deserved relaxing night. Maybe weekend. SHe hoped Bex had the sense to not bother Fletcher, either. "W-will.. you stay with me?" Any other time, having the place to herself with just her and Davi? She'd have exploded. Even though Davi didn't like her like that, she still couldn't think of anyone else she'd rather have by her side right now.
Furrowing her brows in confusion for a moment, Davi's lips then pressed together when the realization of who she was talking about crossed her mind. Letting out a sigh, she shook her head. "She doesn't hate you, Pixie," she spoke softly and cautiously. "She's just... far too troubled to realize what she's actually doing, the constant need to get high and drunk, doesn't help the situation one bit. But trust me, she loves you, okay? More than anything. You and Fletcher are her whole world, she just has a massively twisted way of showing it," was continued as her eyes fell back down to the broken violin and she moved her hand over to place it on top of one of Meredith's that was gripping it for dear life. "She did this, yeah?" Was questioned in a whisper.
Her face then scrunched up again as Meredith began to speak, but by the time she was finished, Davi's head was already shaking once more. "No!" Rapidly fell from her lips. "Don't you dare say that, Pixie. It definitely shouldn't have been you. Hell, it shouldn't have even been your parents, but they were unlucky to be caught in an absolutely cruel incident. Never again say—or think—that it should of been you, alright!? Because if it was, then I would never have met you, and I don't think I could fathom the thought of a world without you in it."

"Why do you think I get so pissed when you flirt with me, Benjamin?" She responded, blushing. "Because I always wanted it to be real. And it felt so dumb and stupid to think that it could be.." She admitted back, still wondering if she was about to wake up at any time. Benny admitting what she had? Real life wasn't like that.
But the warmth of the others' hand on her face, washed away doubts of it not being real. "What you say and do.." Licking her lips, she glanced down to Benny's own. Their first kiss had been thrown in there in the middle of something. Granted, that was her fault. But the way Benny spoke to her that day - flirted with her - made her just feel different. The way she felt teased through it all. It was definitely impulsive. But maybe that was paying off?
"Mean it?" She asked stepping into the other, really wanting to ask Benny to kiss her this time, but her brain deciding basically repeating words back to the other woman would be enough.
Benny's eyebrows rose upwards wondering what the other was going on about until it finally clicked and a hesitant chuckle slipped from her lips. Truthfully, the only reason why she didn't bring it up after it happened was because she didn't know if the other woman had actually meant to do it or not, and since maze didn't talk about it, she figured what was the point of bringing up what was thought to be an awkward conversation. Now Benny didn't really care, she quite enjoyed it, and if she was able to get another, she wouldn't complain.
"Yeah, gorgeous. It did happen," though then her face was scrunching up in confusion. "What do you mean pretend flirting? Any flirting I have done has been a hundred percent real," raising a hand, she awkwardly brushed the back of her neck. "You definitely didn't cross a line. Truth? I always thought you weren't into me." Benny then admitted.
"No, stop that," was quickly spoken as she moved over to cup the woman's face. "I am not above anyone's league, okay. And surely not yours. What I say, and do, I definitely mean."
