this is based on @inkvild 's wonderful wonderful concept of hc10 pearl and dl pearl sharing a reflection. I saw that and my brain immediately went crazy!! Even if it took me like a week and a half to finish lol

My fandom red flag/toxic trait is that I will never, ever, think Pearl did anything wrong in Double Life. If I got ditched the way she did I would be worse.

Like, her predetermined teammate, who was also her best friend last season, leaves her for her other best friend from last season, and then the guy who convinced her to go to the nether in the first place starts claiming that it’s HER fault when she was the one who was hesitant initially and Martyn is known for going to the Nether way too fast. And then Scott has the audacity to call HER a cheater when he’s the one who barely waited half the session before finding a new soulmate!

Oh she mildly annoyed Scott by hanging out at his house when he didn’t want her there like twice? And Cleo responded one of those times by threatening to kill Pearl’s dog (and even doing some damage to her) and then trying to steal one of Pearl’s valuable items (jukebox and music disc). Pearl used the powdered snow to do some damage that either he immediately healed or she took care of and never in a situation when they were in actual danger? Wow, really showing herself to be crazy and unreasonable /s. Not to mention, Scott started the whole “hurting ourselves to annoy the other person” thing, and he even gleefully joined in to do it at the same time as Pearl. Yeah she was reckless sometimes, but she rarely ever took more than a couple hearts of damage when she was messing around, and if you watch her health bar in her POV you’ll see Scott is also constantly taking bits of damage because that’s just what happens in Minecraft! She didn’t even take damage when she decided to be silly around a warden because Pearl is actually pretty damn good at not provoking wardens!

And Ren starts calling her a wicked demon because HE looked at an enderman when the prank she pulled was probably one of the most harmless things you could possibly do to someone in the Life Series (moved their horse maybe 50 blocks from their base). And Martyn and Ren both come groveling back to her when their soulmates don’t want them either and they start it by chanting like she’s a witch to summon? And I’m supposed to think it’s mean that she put on an intimidating voice and made them apologize before she would work with them? Even when she was going around singing a scary song to herself she wasn’t even doing anything! Just being scary!

The whole server treats her like she’s crazy, the only “alliances” she’s offered want her to just be their scary dog, and she spends half her time talking to a wolf that people keep threatening to kill. And you want me to feel bad for Scott? Scott who’s going around with his new soulmate and his friends and his ability to socialize without being treated like a demon? Him and his “Relationship Ranch”?

Literally the only thing I could see you saying is her fault is her and Scott’s first death because yeah, it wasn’t a good decision to start taunting two red lives when she was on green. But that’s not some actively malicious thing she did, that was a bad spur of the moment choice.

In conclusion, if I was Pearl I would have taken out me and Scott the second he intentionally took damage in session two, would have just killed myself twice to spite him the second I realized what he was doing. She is kinder than I.
