TS3 useable snowboard half-pipe

I thought it would be fun to have this object in TS2, so I converted it. :)

Snowboard half-pipe can be found in hobbies/recreation and costs $5100. It can be used by teens and older Sims. It has 7948 polys. It’s not much in the case of this object - its footprint takes 33 tiles (11x3 tiles), but it takes actually much more space - 11x14 tiles, but I couldn’t create that big footprint, because SimPE was crashing. Unfortunately, because of it, Sims will walk through the half-pipe. Even though you can place the half-pipe partially outside the lot, don’t do it, because Sims need to have access to slots placed on the borders or the object. You’ll get an error if Sim can’t reach one of these slots. I even got an error when I put a fence to keep Sims from walking through the half-pipe. I don’t know how to fix that.

Snowboard half-pipe builds body skill. The more body skill points your Sim has, the more likely they are to perform more difficult tricks and less likely to fail.

This object doesn’t work perfectly. I’ve tried to get rid of weird spinning as much as I could, but two or three animations still have got some issues. Furthermore, with some animations snowboard is going to clip through the half-pipe.

Now let’s talk about snowboard.

There are two snowboards - TS3 one and the one made out of ice, because ice snowboard looks cool and can be useful for Iceman or some waterbenders. :) Both can be found in hobbies/recreation and cost $120. TS3 one has 908 polys and ice one has 1002 polys. Ice snowboard is a frankenmesh made from MCoC Iceman mesh extracted by SSingh551.

If your Sim has snowboard in their inventory, they will use that snowboard. E.g. if they have green snowboard, they will use green snowboard. Ice snowboard is prioritised over TS3 one, so if your Sim has both ice and TS3 one, they will use ice snowboard.

If your Sim doesn’t have any snowboard in their inventory, they’ll use default purple one. If you put snowboard on the ground, it sinks into the ground. Don’t be alarmed - I had to position it at some weird angle to match feet. Still, during some animations feet will clip through snowboard.

TS3 snowboard comes in 6 colors. One of them matches orange recolor of TS2 pre-order snowboard.

Pick’N’Mix’ shared showering compatibility plug-ins

@picknmixsims released useful shared showering mod, but unfortunately it conflicts with CJH’s joinable bath and @hexagonal-bipyramid‘s ecoFriendly_hydrophobic_showerAutonomy.

I made two plug-ins. The one for joinable bath should load after both shared showering and joinable bath mods. The one for shower autonomy should load after shared showering, but you should also delete original ecoFriendly_hydrophobic_showerAutonomy, because it has only one resource which is edited also by my plug-in.

Hafiseazale’s two TS3 Showtime deco conversions edited

I edited @hafiseazale​‘s TS3 Showtime Stage Column Circuit Light and Stage Light Orb. Now they are animated, transparent and glow in the dark.

Last, but not least, I added morphs to chair/sofa stages of Satinistics sofa bed and Contempto Good Livin’ Chair Bed. Now they will animate when Sims sit down on them.

I know there's sleeker looking revamps (like @vegan-kaktus 's detailed default replacement) of this low poly Maxis decor, but it's an object I used in almost all my childhood builds, so it's pretty nostalgic to me! Still, I always thought that the colors made it look somewhat rotten, which doesn't seem very tasty or plastic imo, so I've given it a slightly more appealing retexture along with an additional 8 recolors of the bowl.

Recolors have been clearly labeled in the folder so you can delete any that you don't want. Left to right: black ceramic, white ceramic, med wood, light wood, black wicker, white wicker, dark wicker, and light wicker.

So, I think all of us simmers with modern hardware have sat in front of our screens having the time of our lives to only be greeted with this disgusting thing:

I think we’ve all sat in front of our screens day and night hunting for fixes, in which some work, some don’t. Some do for three days, some just… prevent the application from starting at all.

Some of us have even gone as far as to buy completely new computers with older operating systems like Windows 7, Windows XP. Some of us have bought new hardware and still, nothing has changed. People are wasting their money, time and sanity to fix this issue when in fact… there is a reliable, quick and definite fix.

Thanks to @episims​ and their EXTREMELY helpful guide, I managed to fix the flashing and crashing in my game and have managed to exceed my old CC limit of 3GB. But the one thing in their guide that I want to focus on here is this:

This line isn’t here, you have to manually add it in yourself. Navigate to it by hitting CTRL + F and type some of the sentences that appear here. 

Now, I’m not entirely sure what it does but it did indeed prevents these errors from occurring. One of the huge issues with TS2 is that cards with huge amounts of VRAM like the NVIDIA RTX 2080 (8GB Video Memory) consistently have issues with the game and the crashing and flashing is bound to be worse.

However, that is not the case now. Crazysim, the one who created the DXVK guide and has helped tremendously in the community to fix the issue, tested this fix on their 2080 and the game ran perfectly - no issues. So, to those with awesome ass hardware and wanna play the game with no issue - HERE YOU GO! 

Before bringing this to the attention of others on Discord and Tumblr, I managed to help my small circle of simblr friends with this fix and they all said that their issues are now solved, which is incredible! I myself have gone out of my way spending money on new computers and hardware just for this game to run and now that there is finally a good, definite fix genuinely warms my heart. 

The last thing I want to say is don’t use the graphics rules maker after applying that fix as the GRM will revert it and wipe that line out (causing the errors to happen again).
