Faber wanted a dishwasher badly, but it was hard to find a decent installer in Augusta, because the only one he knew, he’d blown in high school, but David was apparently very straight and now very homophobic and while Faber was confident he could probably discreetly blow him again, he wasn’t confident he could get the man to install a dishwasher and not make his life hell for it. ‘I know,’ Faber said, thinking about Caleb, even though that hadn’t been a friend with benefits situation at all. ‘But I’m polyamorous, and I get plenty of my emotional needs met already, so I’m willing,’ Kenneth said. ‘I don’t know what you are, but I don’t think you’re getting any of your emotional needs met.’ ‘Live a little,’ Faber said lightly. Kenneth grinned, and Faber tucked that expression away, and tried to ignore the way Kenneth constantly clocked his vulnerabilities as casually as someone might point out the weather. ‘I’m definitely thinking about it,’ Kenneth added. ‘Today told me there’s a lot of potential for you to sync up with a lot of the things I like. And, hopefully, vice versa.’ ‘I must say, I’m truly surprised at how much I enjoyed today,’ Faber said. ‘Though it seemed extremely indulgent, and not very reciprocal, for all that you rabbit on about trust, surely I’d also be showing you a lot of trust if I let you block my breathing with your cock.’

I'm loving Underline the Red so far!! I live for angst, and Faber has so much of it! I was wondering if we would ever get any chapters from Caleb or Kenneth's perspective? I'm so curious about what's going on in other characters' heads and how they see Faber. I'm also so very curious about how Temsem will react to Faber feeling like an omega since he was the first person to accept Efnisien as an alpha. Will he also be as supportive to Faber as he was to Efnisien? Anyway, I loved the new chapter, Faber has a friend now!! And I love Kenneth already. He's so good for Faber!!! Ahgghhghajg I love your writing so much!!! 🩷🩷

I'm so glad you're enjoying it! I'm really looking forward to stepping things up in Underline the Red, such a huge journey for Faber to go on!

As for Caleb or Kenneth perspectives, I'm not sure. At the moment there aren't any, but I'm not ruling it out. If I do write another POV, it will probably be just one of theirs, possibly Kenneth's. But again, not sure! I definitely think it will be hard to get through this story without either Caleb or Kenneth's perspective because Faber is such an unreliable narrator. And also because who Caleb is most of the time, is someone we've actually never seen before. And I think it'd be fun to see Kenneth's observations because he sees so much more than he lets on.

I'm also so very curious about how Temsem will react to Faber feeling like an omega since he was the first person to accept Efnisien as an alpha. Will he also be as supportive to Faber as he was to Efnisien?

‘May I ask a question?’ Efnisien managed, hating how his voice broke, how airless it sounded. ‘You may,’ Kadek answered. It was so fucking formal. Without thinking about it, he looked down at the piece of paper on the basket, the Minion printed on it, and forced himself to take a deeper breath into tense lungs. ‘Are you mad at me?’ Efnisien said. ‘No,’ Kadek said. ‘I’m not mad at you at all. You’ve followed all of my instructions, you’ve been patient, and you’ve waited for me. There is nothing to be angry at, and nothing to find fault with. But I have given you a taste of what it can be like to serve me. If you focus only on yourself, you’re going to be pretty stressed out, Efnisien.’ Efnisien didn’t flinch, but he looked up at Kadek with wide eyes and Kadek stared down with an unblinking intensity.
