Please give Tai better storylines in Season 4 pleaaaase🙏🙏🙏 She’s one of the last four survivors, why is she still being sidelined? She is such a fascinating and layered character but she is never given anything to DO (other than Van)

This is especially glaring in the wilderness timeline right now. This is Tai’s entire Season 3 arc in the wilderness: She played the role of prosecutor in the Ben trial, she pulled the Queen to kill Ben (but didn’t end up killing him), Other Tai surfaced for one second and then disappeared with no impact on the story, and then Tai just followed along with Shauna and Lottie in wanting to stay in the wilderness. That’s pretty much it. Some interesting bits with potential, but mostly background/supportive work. What happened to her sleepwalking? What happened to the threat of Other Tai? What happened to her close dynamic with Shauna?

And in the adult timeline, they need to stop ignoring the fact that she has a son. A son that seems to have some kind of connection to Other Tai or the Wilderness that could be really interesting to explore if that plot line wasn’t unceremoniously dropped for some reason. And her political career! It was central to her story for the first 2 seasons and then just briefly explained away in the first episode of Season 3 and never mentioned again. Don’t even get me started on her speech after Van’s death that was inexplicably cut from the final product.

Stop. Dropping. Taissa’s. Storylines.

Give her as much importance and impact on the story as Natalie, Misty, and Shauna. She’s the only member of the original Core Four that doesn’t seem to get the same main character treatment. She deserves better in Season 4.

Nat's relationship with the Wilderness is so fascinating to me. She is clearly playing the role of the group's skeptic; she resists the rituals, challenges Lottie’s authority, and often positions herself as the rational voice amid rising hysteria. But underneath it all, she does believe in the Wilderness, perhaps even more deeply and purely than many of the others.

Nat's skepticism is a defense mechanism. No matter how much she denies it, even to herself, there is some part of Nat that knows the Wilderness is real. But unlike those who romanticize the idea of the Wilderness as a source of self-preservation, salvation, or hope, Natalie sees it for what it truly is: something wild, hungry, dangerous, and intimately tied to their worst impulses. Nat and Lottie possess a unique understanding of the Wilderness as something that lives inside of them all, rather than an external force. I think it's very possible Nat has felt it from the beginning, some darkness within all of them, and it terrifies her. Her resistance is a form of self-protection, a way to maintain some sense of autonomy in the face of something she instinctively knows could consume her. Rather than give herself over to it like the others, she fights it tooth and nail, perhaps knowing better than anyone what it is capable of.

One thing that has been executed so well in Yellowjackets is Nat’s gradual evolution into the person we know her as in the adult timeline. When I first started watching the show, there was such a glaring disconnect between Teen and Adult Nat that had me really intrigued as to how they were going to bridge that massive gap and eventually connect the two timelines. And now, after Season 3, they’ve managed to bridge it in such a natural, subtle way that I didn’t even fully realize it until I looked back at Season 1.

Season 1 Nat and Season 3 Nat feel like completely different people, it’s striking. It’s more than just the grown-out roots or the loss of that grungy eyeliner; it’s in her posture, her expressions, the way she carries herself. You can see the loss of hope creeping in, the hardening around the edges. Her vulnerability and softness are still there, but they’re buried deeper, shielded by the beginnings of that detached, cynical armor we recognize in Adult Nat. By Season 3, she feels so much closer to Juliette Lewis’s version of the character than to the fiery bleach blonde version we first met in Season 1. She’s lost that spark/lightness/playfulness that she originally had. She’s shifted into something sharper, more serious and dry. Watching her transformation unfold so gradually makes it all the more heartbreaking, and all the more believable.

There is both a supernatural and a rational explanation for every major event in Yellowjackets. Lottie walking safely over the pit trap might be the Wilderness intervening to protect her—or it could be that Travis accidentally covered it with too many sticks when resetting it, just enough to support her weight. The cave visions could represent the Wilderness trying to communicate—or they might be hallucinations caused by carbon dioxide/poisonous gas exposure. The birds crashing into the cabin in Season 2 might be the Wilderness offering a sacrifice in response to Shauna’s accidental bloodletting onto the symbol blanket—or, as Misty and Nat suggest, the birds could have been diseased or thrown off course by iron deposits in the ground. Lottie speaking French during the cabin séance could be the spirit of Cabin Guy possessing her—or a trauma response, with her preexisting mental health condition triggering dissociation and emotional dysregulation, causing fragmented memories (like her high school French classes) to surface. And so on!

I hope they keep things open-ended and ambiguous like this, where every event can be interpreted in two opposing ways. It’s so fun to experience Yellowjackets as two different shows at once—one steeped in the supernatural, and the other grounded in psychological realism and trauma responses. The ability to shift between these perspectives (or hold both simultaneously) not only deepens the mystery, but makes the entire viewing experience so much more compelling.
