Final Update
Throughout the semester I think I have learned some really important aspects of filmmaking after finishing this course. First thing is taking more chances and risks in trying to make something really cool and out of the ordinary. I think most filmmakers follow what others have done and make small tweaks but you should really find your own style. Film is art too and it should express and represent as you as an artist.
The film i made "Beyond The Reflection" is finally complete though and I am proud of how it as evolved over this semester. Here is a link to the final version and hope you enjoy it :)

My Progress
Last week I did a shoot with a couple people and gained a better sense of how I would like everything to look. We came up with some new and unique ideas for shots and updated my shot list. For my exterior footage, I've decided to be desaturated rather than black and white. It will slowly lead to the black and white as we head inside of the space. Really exploring the burning feeling as it was previously mentioned as things will ramp up with the use of shots of running and certain exercises I have in mind.
Currently still working on the edit of the footage from last week playing with the use of motion blur and other effects. Im currently reaching out to someone at the moment to see if they would be interested in compositing some footage.
Planning on another shoot either on the 29th or the 30th depending on the weather, getting more footage and reshooting a bit. Currently looking for more crew as well so if anyone is interested feel to let me know.
Here is a link to the footage we shot of all of it just in a timeline:

Update:
Been in contact with Marshall and got the ok, just have to finalize the date and time with them.
I made an equipment list of everything I will need and a list of props. I have some but still looking for a couple of things. In the test footage, I used the rs5. Thinking of using the 14mm Rokinon lens for the film.
Started to create a shot list as well and I’ll probably meet with my DP and brainstorm some more.
Worked on the story a bit and incorporated more of a personal feel. I was thinking it could start in a bedroom and the constant repeat of an alarm. Struggling out of bed, they approach the desk in frustration.

Narrowing down my ideas:
A film delving into people’s inner thoughts and emotions. It would be a journey of grief, self-discovery, and redemption throughout. Im thinking this will be black and white but want other people’s thoughts.
As it starts I want to create a lot of blurred imagery as the character falls into despair. Creating tension and the use of symbolic imagery using mirrors or the use of broken glass. As it continues a bright light approaches the character as they discover the gym. He finds solace in becoming stronger physically while taking control of his emotions/life again.
Wardrobe: wearing a hoodie with possible beanie and joggers, then appears to maybe a T-shirt and shorts after discovery of gym
Shot and sound ideas:
Possible black and white film or very desaturated
Starting outside walking by a pond by chance looking in water.
Continues inside and is transported to a dark room with one window and light coming down on him.
A mix of blurred imagery of running, maybe whispers back and forth of left and right ear.
Close-up of eyes and hand almost touching broken glass/mirror

Goals and Reflection
I have really looked forward to taking radical to really help my creative process. Sometimes I really struggle with certain concepts or stories but with this class, I can gain a lot of inspiration from many unique artists. I really want to find unique and different ways to approach my filmmaking. By the end, I want to be able to express my emotions through the film while incorporating different techniques and aspects along the way. This is why with my idea I want to be a bit personal. By incorporating some of my past emotions I am hoping to convey something very powerful and inspirational to others to not give up on things get hard. By utilizing this emotion I am hoping to create visuals I have never imagined. I am hoping to continue to gather more ideas and to fully develop my ideas for this semester and I am very excited!

Idea
I really would love to be involved in a film with either fitness or bowling involved. Basically, my first idea is that I have is someone undergoing a tragedy of some sort. They start breaking down to the point where the thoughts inside the person's head start to take over and become known. He starts to live in these dark places and mirrors start to appear, hanging broken glass, and he examines it. He starts to reflect and emotions start to build, and either dark figures or a blur of some sort keeps following him until he gets pretty aggravated. He starts to find a passion with the gym and the room starts to get brighter. He starts to see improvements in himself and finally breaks free from this darkness.
