when i deleted my first lucy blog, i also deleted my headcanons but here’s a recap:

lucy, just like lois, was raised in army bases across the world which makes her an army brat. well, she is the embodiment of one — she doesn’t stay in one place for long, she follows her father’s rules as they are the law, she makes friends easily and anywhere and she is reckless and a free spirit.

unlike lois, lucy LOVES her father. she respects him the most, she is proud to be his daughter and she cherishes every moment with him. because she was the youngest, her father would spare her more than he ever did with lois. not to mention lois always had her back and always covered for her whenever she got in trouble.

that being said, while she did respect and follow the general’s rules, she was also a wild teenager that loved alcohol, parties and boys/girls more than her father ever wished (or ever knew about). she was a little troublemaker, sometimes worse than lois, but her father never knew about it.

lucy and lois have very different opinions and views on their father’s behaviour and it’s the main issue between them. they fight a lot, sometimes going months without talking to each other due their different view on the world. lucy can be the most stubborn and it’s always lois who tries to reach out, after being worried sick since lucy is overseas, sometimes even in battle.

the general’s death took a real tool on lucy. for a whole month, she didn’t left her bedroom. her father was her whole world and she never learnt to deal with the grief. it’s partly due the way she was raised. also, lucy was never as emotional as lois, which made everything worse because she has problems to show emotions and is always very logical about situations. there was no logic in her father’s death besides him being a hero who was protecting their country.

high school is a roller coaster for lucy. she has many issues with school, being very difficult for her to adapt to a new system and new rules that make no sense to her. it becomes hard at first to connect with other students as they don’t know or understand what being an army brat actually means and they don’t have the same bond. after a while, she gets the hang of it and makes it as a popular due being well travelled. she also starts hanging out with the wrong people, skipping classes and experimenting on alohol and drugs as a result of her grief and lashing out on the world. lois is the one that pulls her back from the darkness, her mother being too sick to notice anything.

before finishing junior year, lucy turns 18 (she lost a school year with the transition and failed another) and drops out of school once she gets a job a a flight attendant. despite lois protests, she has decided she needs to live her life as she knows best, by travelling and learning from other cultures and people.

it’s not until 2 years later, when she gets too bored with the lack of purpose of her life while her sister is already doing something as a reporter when she comes back home and comes to the realization that she needs to follow her father’s footsteps. lucy enlists in the military when she turns 20, only telling lois a week before leaving.

going to the military is like coming back to life for lucy. it’s all she ever knew and where she felt the most alive and her self. quickly, she gets up and up and nowadays she is a major and everyone knows who she is, mostly due her father, but also due her discipline, battle strategies and skills and intelligence.
