as we march towards a shining era of more people calling their friends "babe" and "sweetheart" platonically, let us also strive towards a brighter tomorrow wherein more couples call each other "bruh" and "my dude" as a term of romantic endearment

I got a pyjama set for my birthday and even though its feminine, it fits me in a way that somehow gets rid of my body’s more feminine features and it makes me want to scream in a good way

it’s always the posts I thought no one would think much of and that border on incoherent rambling that people like and I think it’s a very fun phenomenon

The above is a video shared by smrchildsadness on Twitter, showing a person participating in a pride parade exchanging a pride flag with a person standing on his (am using his pronoun based on the TikToks/Tweets of what happened) doorway who had a Portuguese flag. There are sounds of cheers and crying and the two people hug each other as they exchange the flags. The man at the doorway then waved kisses to the crowd within the pride parade.
The Tweet says: "NO YOU DONT UNDERSTAND HE WAS WAVING THE PORTUGUESE FLAG BECAUSE HE DIDN'T HAVE A PRIDE FLAG AND THEY TRADED FLAGS AND HE'S SO EMOTIONAL TO GET HIS OWN PRIDE FLAG I'M EMOTIONALLY RUINED"
For context, apparently they were worried that maybe he's a nationalist because he was waving the Portuguese flag and some nationalists opposing the pride march were waving that flag. But upon interacting with him, it turns out he didn't have have a pride flag and he wanted to wave *a* flag in support of the pride march. So they had an exchange and now he has his own pride flag 😭🥹.
Tumblr media
The image above is a Tweet by kunwara_ladkaa that says "I'm crying so much right now (Image taken by Manuel Fernando Araújo/Lusa)". The image shows the same man from the pride parade crying as he hugs his new pride flag.
Tumblr media
The above image is a Tweet by dudz_zZzz that says "ainda não parei de pensar nele," which according to Google translate from Portuguese to English is "I still haven't stopped thinking about him." The image is a drawing of the person from the pride parade, crying as he hugs his new pride flag.

It’s been almost a year since I made this post and I have been changed, analysing the play has made me absolutely love it, I think about it at least once a day, almost all the characters absolutely suck and are terrible terrible people and it’s wonderful
how am I supposed to feel after reading a streetcar named desire???? It’s not like I’ve been emotionally moved by it, I’m literally just 🤨🤨🤨🤨

MAKING A PREDICTION FOR ADAM!!!
I think Adam is trying to “steal” Sydney’s humanity, possibly to become human fully himself, or to gain more power. For the argument of he wants to become human, he talks a lot about when Sydney was back in college and the good times they had then, and it almost comes off as envious. Adam hints/ refers to his own feelings of dysmorphia at his human form, and maybe taking Sydney’s blood would remove those feelings. I also think there’s a chance that Adam was human once and is trying to do necromancy on himself. It fits with the key themes of this season, as necromancy and life/ death have been relevant in most episodes, both with Sydney and with other characters (Rowan and Soren). If you also look at the lyrics of yes to err is human, it backs up this argument even more. “If you don’t hate me then reanimate me” already matches the manipulative tone Adam takes with Sydney, and “reanimate” suggests that Adam was once alive, rather than always being a demon. Furthermore, “a little black bag with a toe tag” is most likely referring to a body bag, which could imply that Adam is looking for his original body to reanimate/ rejoin.

as someone who has had quite a bit of therapy/ counselling, this new episode and adams role as Sydney’s “therapist” is making me go insane (positive)
(most of this is probably soooo obvious but I’m sharing my thoughts anyways)
the main thing I noticed was how Adam absolutely dominated the “session”, steering Sydney rather than having Sydney lead the sessions in the direction he wanted. Sydney wanted to acknowledge his positive feelings towards jedidiah, and Adam constantly steered him back to negative feelings, only seeming to validate them. it presents Adam as being in control in the dynamic, despite his insistence that jedidiah is creating an unbalanced dynamic and that it’s wrong (jedidiah and Sydney’s power balances are a whole different question that I won’t get into much now). It’s obvious why he did this, he wants to control Sydney, but as adams role as a therapist, it’s a really interesting dynamic. A good therapist may suggest how you feel, and may ask questions to delve into certain feelings or topics, but will never force a topic or feeling on you, and probably won’t dominate the session either. not only that, but Adam was actively trying to create a dynamic of therapist and patient, and pursuer and pursued. Obviously, those two dynamics should *never* go hand in hand, so it’s really telling about adams character that he tried to force both at once. Both of the roles he plays feel meticulously crafted and incredibly inauthentic. He uses “technical” language, however it feels more for the sake of using it rather than as a method of communication. When Sydney questions whether it would be harmful for him to give blood to Adam, Adam refers to the act as “self harm”, saying it wouldn’t count as that, rather than actually answering Sydney’s question. His other role, the pursuer, is a strange mix of jedidiah in the current season and Elijah from the previous one. The compliments/ flirting and the insistence of deep, personal connection almost seem like he’s trying to become jedidiah in a weird way, appealing to Sydney’s need to be heard and desired/ wanted in a way almost identical to Elijah. Either role is incredibly interesting, but together it’s a really unique take on this kind of manipulative relationship.
Slightly off topic but I also LOVE how language is used by the narrator to show their own discriminatory bias’. Sydney is infantilised by being referred to as “the boy” instead of the man, which could be both a commentary on how trans men are often infantilised, but also could reflect how Sydney is seen by other characters like jedidiah and Lucile, who may not exactly see him as a child, but certainly treat him a little like one. Also blue wolf has kinda explained the use of it/it’s pronouns for Adam and how they’re used by the narrator to demean and dehumanise Adam due to the history of them being used more as a slur, and it’s a very significant thing to be brought to light. Alongside the social commentary, it also presented whatever organisation has the tapes and whoever is narrating as not entirely good, and may be observing or studying the camp for less than positive reasons
tldr: Adam SUCKS as a therapist
