This is one of my favourite handers moments for many reasons:

Anders was giving Isabela an STD test seconds beforehand.

Hawke's tone-deaf flirting (yeah dude, tell the man who escaped mage prison 7 times that you're going to lock him up)

Anders trying to steer the conversation back to the Templar problem but said insane flirting is still clearly working on him.

Anders then losing the battle and dropping the most intense romantic line, especially considering-

They haven't even kissed yet.

They are having this conversation in front of a corpse.

I would like all Americans (and everyone else) who are excited for the Superbowl to know: Before the actual Superbowl there's a live tournament on TV, here in Germany, called "American Ice Football".

It is exactly what it sounds like: American Football but played on Ice, in shoes with entirely smooth soles.

It's a tournament with 4 teams and they are called Eastside Ossis, Westside Wessis, Northcoast Naughties and Southside Smoothies and it's just hilariously entertaining.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate Davrin?? When you first recruit him?? I mean Rook barely even has time to say “Okay welcome to your new home the Light—” before shit hits the fan and Davrin’s just like “blighted dragon? I’m on it fam” for these people he’s never even met?? I love him??

And also at Weisshaupt?? The difference between him and the First Warden being so beautiful? The First Warden making slaying the archdemon all about glory and makes a big deal out of doing a stupid speech? Whereas Davrin does not hesitate, he’s gritting his teeth with determination when the First Warden stops him and rushes in after the hydrademon without a second of hesitation when Rook screams “Davrin!! Kill it!” And he bolts in and strikes true, no looking back, no glory needed, because it’s the right thing to do?

Ugh. I love him.

imagine neve and rana, still hopeful, still bright, solving cases together in minrathous.

having lunch at the docks, comparing case notes in neve's apartment, stealing kisses in the winding alleyways, letting themselves be swept up in the current of the city.

they work well together, bring in others who can help.

then the catacomb incident happens, and brom is dead.

rana realizes how important it is to keep people close, so things like this don't happen.

neve realizes this is what happens when she lets people get close.

an apology, and an ending. case notes are kept to back corner tables at the swan or the lamplighter. alleyways are no longer for kisses. the currents of the city turn to riptides, and their lives move in different directions.

a few years pass. neve and rana don't speak unless there's a case. they still work well together, but it's just business (for neve).

a case comes up - venatori getting up to the usual bastardry.

neve introduces rook to rana.

rana clocks the way neve looks at them immediately.

she sees rook, a charming rake, living on the outside of the rules she holds close to her chest, and thinks that maybe if she could do that, too, neve would look at her like that again.

but rana loves rules, and neve loves rook.
