Right to left, Aisha ( his mom) applies coconut oil, massaging it into a teenage Kamals short hair. She says in irritation, "Sit still! Coconut oil will make your hair healthy!" Kamal protests and yells," It is GROSS!", balling up his fists and screwing his eyes shut.

Two decades later, a different drawing. A much older Aisha smiles contentedly, rubbing coconut oil smoothly into Kamals graying, longer hair. She says," See..mur deha...I told you it was good for you. " Kamal offhandedly replies, " YEAH, Mom....Sorry...." hes smiling too.

In the first picture, Kamal is a teen and has acne plus short, self cut hair. He wears two earrings. Aisha Begum, the mother, has a strong, squareish face. She smirks, revealing a gap tooth. Her hair is thick and curly, mostly hidden under her floral headscarf. She wears a mekhela chador. She wears a traditional Assamese junbiri necklace in a half moon shape.

In the second picture, The mom, Aisha, is very wrinkled and is missing many teeth. Her hair is held back in a scarf that wraps around most of her body. Here, Habit is more like a marionette. Kamal meanwhile is older, has greying hair, acne scars all over his face. His jowls sag. He has one earring. End ID]

Kamals mom putting coconut hair oil in his hair in his teens ( he cut his own hair short with some help from sister) (remember...ftm kamal!) VERSUS when he's like grown and he allows her to put it in as a bonding moment. TBH he probably does it back for her too because she's super old by this point and could appreciate the help haha

Mur deha means literally my body in Assamese but it can also be used as my love, dearest, my heart--stuff like that
