Love is in the air. Well, maybe not - where I live intense cold is in the air, but let’s not let that get us down. While I think most of us can agree that the current incarnation of Valentine’s day represents a weird, twisted consumerist fantasy, I’m doing this giveaway in order to get back to the spirit of what this holiday is all about - expressing appreciation and love for each other. A few notes, before I get into the contest and prizes: The definitions of love and affection for this giveaway’s purposes are as broad as possible. By no means are you confined to the idea of romantic love; I welcome entries in the spirit of platonic love, filial love, philia, eros, agape, or any other concept of love out there in the wide and wonderful universe. All expressions of affection are happily accepted! Also: NONE of these entries need to be related to my dragons. I mean, if you have a dragon who’s secretly been writing impassioned sonnets about Kyrakios’ beautiful magenta eyes, who hasn’t that’s awesome and I’d love to see it, but if you prefer to keep your entries about dragons in your clan, that’s fine too!

PART ONE: Dragon Valentines. Do you guys remember in Elementary school, when we all used to spend hours getting glue, glitter, and tiny pieces of paper everywhere, all in the service of putting together some really fantastic handmade Valentines which would then be distributed to our classmates? No? Well, I do. This part of the giveaway is visually oriented. It is open to graphics, art, videos, or any other visual representation! What exactly a “Dragon Valentine” is is entirely up to you. It could be a portrait of one dragon by another; it could be a literal cut paper Valentine; it could even be a comic illustrating one dragon serenading another. Get creative! The GRAND PRIZE for this part of the contest will be 1 Breed Change: Coatl. The runner-up prize will be a fluted pukasloth.

PART TWO: Love Letters. This part of the giveaway is writing-oriented. Like part one, this does not need to literally be a love letter, though literal interpretations are happily accepted. This could be part of a dragon romance novel, or a story about two dragons having a meet-cute, or a poem or song written by or about a dragon. The GRAND PRIZE for this part of the contest will be 1 Primary Gene: Iridescent (you can also swap this out for a Shimmer or Circuit gene if you’d rather). The runner-up prize will be any treasure shop gene.

PART THREE: Good old-fashioned RNG. Does what it says on the can! The prize for this will hopefully* be a triple crimson, triple-gened Imperial hatchling. *Regrettably Kairos and Tereine don’t produce guaranteed triple crimson hatchlings. However, I’ve also got pairs that produce triple maroon, triple leaf, triple pink, and triple magenta fairly reliably. You will get a triple.
