while i was in organic chemistry purgatory i picked up a new obsession, and then i rewatched kung fu panda and my brain went... "what if... svss kung fu panda au?" and then i blacked out and drew these before i could stop myself for having such a stupid ridiculous fucking idea.

The origins of this stupid au aren't really obvious in these doodles except for SY's severe fanboying. Yes he absolutely has a little carved action figure of LBH. He'd rather die than admit that though. In this AU I imagine LBH = Tigress, Shifu = SJ, and Po = SY. I haven't thought it out terribly much yet. I just had to exorsize this demon.

consider the irony of MQF being concerned SY's going to develop a heart demon. especially if having a heart demon weakens you in some way, like it feeding off your qi so you're more likely to die and allow it to manifest into the real world. of course SY hears "heart demon" and is like ur calling me mentally ill? rude!! and ends the conversation before getting the best possible lead he could get on what the creature stalking him is without SQH's help

at first i thought you were going to say the irony was that mu qingfang was trying to prevent a heart demon from growing while one was already there, but it got even better.

this kind of obliviousness would be right up shen yuan's alley. poor mu qingfang is just being concerned, noticing that shen yuan hasn't been feeling very well, has been distracted and nervous and tired, seemingly on edge all the time. because of the dating sim aspect of the game, mu qingfang and shen yuan share ample moments together, and mu qingfang takes the chance to have a talk with shen yuan.

mu qingfang tries to explain the concept of "heart demons" to at least make him aware that this is a real issue. he explains that a heart demon is a significant disturbance in one's emotional regulation or behavior, manifestations of inner imbalance, causing mood swings, nightmares, disorientation, then hallucinations, voices, paranoia.

of course, shen yuan manages to miss the point entirely and just stare at mu qingfang thinking "did you just call me bipolar and schizophrenic in one sentence?? excuse me???"

i love the idea that, in game, this moment was an important hint to solving the mystery of the player's past, but it went entirely over shen yuan's head. funny thing is that if shen yuan was playing the game from behind his screen, he would have called this scene "way too obvious" and "practically giving the mystery away". go figure.

Shen Yuan decides to get in shape, so he hires his friend Liu Qingge to be his trainer

Liu Qingge is awful at it though. He throws Shen Yuan into heavy exercise immediately and shen yuan throws up on the first day. When he sees shen yuans flushed face and heavy breathing, Liu Qingge blushes and calls him shameless (he's tired!??). When Shen Yuan takes off his clothes to change after the session, he stands shirtless and says he's so sore after what Liu qingge did to him, and Liu qingge runs out of the changing room without another word

So shen yuan goes to Binghe, much to Liu Qingge's outrage. Binghe is way gentler- too gentle. They spend an hour doing nothing but stretching, and then binghe insists on helping yuan ge change even though he's not tired at all! Binghe says proper eating habits are important, so he cooks all of shen yuans food for a while. But whenever shen yuan says he wants something sweet, binghe says that's fine! Treat yourself! Until shen yuan checks and finds out he's more out of shape than when he started "working out" with binghe

Eventually its mu qingfang who gives shen yuan an exercise regiment that's suited for someone as frail as him, and a proper meal plan. It's just some light walking and less instant noodles - he doesn't even have to go to the gym to get healthier! He doesn't understand why Liu qingge and Luo binghe glower at him with raw hatred whenever they're in the same room

Yue Qi learns to cook so he can feed Xiao Jiu breakfast lunch and dinner in bed, but ofc Shen Jiu discards his clumsy first meals and verbally berates Yue Qi for trying to serve him slop. However he starts eating all the food Yue Qi makes when he sees one of the kids he’s been starving eating the scraps, and how dare some little urchin take what Qi-ge gave him! He even sets up picnics where the disciples can watch him eat the food, smug in knowing that Qi-ge likes him better than the little rats.

Something i probably never write cause it's gonna require more than 2k words

Shen Twins au, but everyone (aside from Qing Jing desciples) thinks Shen Jiu has DID (they prob have a different name for that, but we're gonna call it that). They just don't go out together often enough, so no one really seen the twins in the same space.

For them it's Shen Qingqiu sometimes wants to bite your head off and other times is a very nice and wants to talk your ear off. Yes, sadly Yue Qingyuan also thinks it's DID, cause he only knows Shen Jiu (Shen Yuan transmigrated into a long lost twin brother of Shen Jiu. Don't ask, i didn't think this through.)

The fun happens when Liu Qingge starts falling for Shen Yuan while Yue Qingyuan is still in love with Shen Jiu. Liu Qingge struggling with the thought that if he starts courting Shen Yuan he'll have to also be with Shen Jiu, who, he's pretty sure, hates him. Yue Qingyuan meanwhile isn't sure how he's supposed to also date the Shen Yuan personality cause he's very talkative and sometimes overwhelming.

Eventually they do start dating their respectful Shens and at some point a situation occurs. Angry Shen Yuan is very mich like his brother. Ready to bite someone's head off. So he goes to Yue Qingyuan, who, upon seeing his beautiful Xiao Jiu goes and kisses him. He obviously gets hit in the head cause "What the fuck? I have a boyfriend?!" Similar thing simultaneously happens on Bai Zhan (I don't know how), because its the world of PIDW, the world bends towards weird situations.

Shens run away to their peak where they tell each other what happened and after that meet the other two peak lords that fucked up a little. This is the first time they see two Shens together and everything clicks and they realise who they kissed.

The whole thing resolves, of course, but Shen Yuan doesn't stop teasing Liu Qingge about it and Shen Jiu keeps reminding him like "Yeah, and you kissed my brother, so..." When he needs to get out of a situation.

Binggeyuan AU where the yandere kidnapping doesn't quite go according to plan.

Bingge originally planning to go in scoop up SY and return to his world only...Shen Yuan is clearly not well and delicate and he can't give him his blood yet, he needs a meal first.

Bingge just going househusband mode, he argues that he's wooing SY and things will go smoother when he's home... plus it''s nice to have time with him without the harem trying to interrupt or some random uprising.

Then Shen Yuan's siblings how up and 'WHAT DO YOU MEAN DEMON MAIN CHARACTER FROM THE NOVEL YOU 'HATE READ' IS REAL'

' DON'T LIE WE HAVE ALL SEEN THE MERCH PILE YOU TRY AND HIDE WE KNOW IT'S HIM'

Only... then they see 'Shen Yuan is eating...meals? Actual multiple meals a day?? he's healthier??' and see Bingge taking care of him and clearly smitten and all collectively decide to ignore the demonic was a web novel character thing and just 'Welcome to the family'

Bingge's not sure what happened to the original plan when he's sitting in the family home later his future mother and father in law gushing over his food and his mother in law insisting to help wedding plan.

He decides househusband in chill world where he can spend all time with his husband and has been adopted into loving family who care about him and not his status or power is far preferable to PIDW... so he just nopes out and does not go back.

No responsibilities just time with husband.
