hi!! I’m absolutely LOVING your designs for the nine muses, but I’m wondering what the significance of the parchment and feather earrings (on the three that you’ve posted so far) are?

The wing they each have is a reference to the Muses' frequent association with birds: whether taking wing to avoid a creepy guy in the rain, transforming the daughters of Pierus into birds for being sore losers, or plucking the feathers off the Sirens and wearing them in their hair, the Muses are associated with the ability to transform themselves and others into birds.

The parchment common amongst their designs is related to their positions as goddesses of the arts -- the Muses were poets, scholars, and performers, and there is little under the academic and artistic umbrellas that did not fall under their purview. :)
