I have an exam tomorrow and I have no energy to study it. What will I do? Why, play video games then stay up all night trying to collect as much info as I can to pass, duh? You really thought my short attention span will allow me to look at words this early in the evening?

I was feeling nostalgic so I started listening to Skillet. I first listened to Not Gonna Die and was like "damn, kinda sounds like a Kratos song". then I listened to Save me, then to another, and another, then realized that Skillet is just Kratos if he started a band I'm gonna cry

I was browsing through the GoW tag and saw a cool cosplay but... the cosplayer had hair

Horizon: Zero Dawn spoilers!

So I finally got around to playing HZD and oh my god I'm only at the beginning but I'm already getting emotional. nobody told me that some of my interactions with other characters might be my last??

So I decided to give Aloy a kind, clever but hot-headed personality when it came to my in-game decisions. one of which is when Rost is saying his goodbyes before The Proving, my angst demon said "would be very sad if Aloy's last words were pure anger." and oh boy do I regret it. now that Rost is gone (which I still can't wrap my head around, I expected him to die at some point but that was a little too fast for my brain. I thought she'd reunite with him sometime after The Proving, but guess not) I was left with the thought: holy shit my last genuine moment with him was an argument (more like Aloy yelling and Rost just standing there) and now he sacrificed himself for me WHAT THE FUCK

I JUST started this game but I already can see how the choices you make will not affect the in-game characters only, but you, the player, too. legit overthinking the fact that my last interaction with my adoptive dad/caretaker was me screaming and shouting how selfish he is just because he was trying to protect me from being banished into an outcast again :'D I need to stop getting too attached to video game characters god dammit

WATCH as the game gives me more flashbacks as I play to make me feel worst about his death

Yup yup, totally agree!

The whole "follow your destiny" thing could've been compressed into #2 or #3 and I wouldn't mind as much, but they decided to spread it across 3 whole comics with little to nothing happening other than slow paced repetitive dialogue. teasing us with a new issue only for it to be the SAME cycle of Kratos getting angry, screaming at people around him then cursing the gods to leave him alone, so boring ):

The artwork is very nice, and the covers are amazingly done I'd love to have them as posters! the funny expressions they give Kratos are just priceless, you rarely see that lol

Fingers crossed #5 (and the next issues) will explore how Kratos made it to Midgard, how his life played before GoW (2018) events, and imma be a little greedy and hope for some Faye content :'D just some crumbs to hold us until Ragnarok

I was excited too! The first issue was great, I was totally invested and looking forward to more. But to use the same story beats across four issues? That's just lazy writing :\ Two of the issues could've been condensed into one and nothing would've been lost.

But hey, at least the artwork is neat! I'd love to get a print of issue #1's cover art~ And Kratos does have some really silly expressions lol

Here's to hoping the next tie in media for GOW is something more engaging. I need something to hold me over until Ragnarok next year lol

Concept arts from Deluxe edition of Resident Evil Village “The Tragedy of Ethan Winters”. In early concept, Ada Wong was a mysterious masked person that saves Ethan. Heisenberg was going to be a twin, his mother was a subject for brain experiments. Alcina Dimitrescu wasn’t a tall lady but a bewitching vampire with giant garden clippers. A dragon-like monster concept isn’t for Lady Dimitrescu at first but the leader of the village. Mother Miranda was just a researcher to investigate the village not final boss. A camera as the save point instead of a typewriter. The team want the game to be more like RE4 so you can’t see item boxes in the game.
