Hello, the name is Artemis.

Im a human lab rat turned ninja.

Im the master of animals, NOT the elemental master of animals. There is nothing natural about my “powers”

Thanks to @pixal-borg-rp for letting me live with her and the ninja in the Monastery of Spinjitzu. And for breaking me out of the lab. Even if it was unintentional the first time.

I’ll put my backstory here warning…. It’s pretty dark…

My biological parents couldn’t take care of me so I was sent to an orphanage as child. I made a few friends, one of whom was Harumi but we took very different paths….

A scientist named Dr. Erebus adopted me when i was 12 and that’s where my hell starts. In the facility we were made to wear just undergarments for easy access to our veins as the scientists were trying to create an elemental master via injecting various animal DNA into the test subjects. We also wore shock collars to keep us under control… Many died as a result of the experiments as well as dying from starvation, hypothermia, dehydration, abuse, and various diseases. So many died that they had a room we called The Pit….

The Pit was a built in incinerator that they would toss the corpses into… Then they’d turn it on when the bodies stacked too high…

I only have a few good memories of that place. My friend/mother figure, Rebecca.. She was able to transform but only partially…. I watched her die… Her spine didn’t transform with her, it curved upwards ripping her organs with it… She was still alive when they took her to The Pit…

I was the one fully successful test subject. I gained the ability to transform into many different animals, as well as communicate with them, i can even regenerate limbs and certain organs due to axolotl DNA… But i also have some animalistic instincts and behaviors…

One day my shock collar got loose and I turned into a cat and escaped, i hid in the Samurai X mech and that’s how I met the ninja and Pixal! I pretended to be Pixal’s cat for a while… I still have the collar in my room… But I revealed myself eventually! They harbored me in the Monastery of Spinjitzu but after a fight with Master Wu I ran off and was recaptured…

The ninja and Pixal saw the horrors of the facility when they rescued me… Dr. Erebus tried to attack Pixal but i took the blow, that’s how i got my eye scar and why I’m blind in my right eye. I transformed into a dragon to protect Pixal and the facility was shut down.

Pixal helped me shut off the security cameras in an alleyway so i could bite Dr. Erebus as a cobra and kill him.

During the attack of the Crystal King I got infected… Thats where me and Harumi met again after all those years. She offered to stop the infection if I joined the Council of the Crystal King. I refused and cut off the leg that she was holding. I fell into the sea but Pixal saved me again.

Years later after the Merge, Imperium used me for my dragon DNA but the ninja rescued me and now im here!
