unfortunately i have a feeling there will be zero macdennis moments in tonight’s episode and that “prime time” has set us up for failure in that regard due to its focus on dennis and his psyche and relationship with mac; i don’t think that theme is going to carry over into “golden bachelor.” i think it’s going to be a very funny genre episode and that it will focus on frank and maybe charlie. i really don’t think we’re going to get a macdennis kiss tonight. still it is fun to prepare for the apocalypse with you all, even if tomorrow we have to re-interpret the prophecy, so to speak.

After Gerard said "when Marianne sings she can see everything" tonight, I haven't been able to stop thinking about the parallels between Marianne and Blind Mag from Repo! The Genetic Opera

Mag is given her eyesight in the form of high tech eye replacements by the shady company that has become the defacto ruler in exchange for indefinitely performing as an opera singer for GeneCo, she quite literally can only see because of her singing. The only way to be freed from the contract that forces her into endlessly performing for the company is to sacrifice her eyesight. Eventually she decides she would rather be blind than be under their control and pulls out her eyes on stage, which enrages the president of GeneCo. In retaliation he cuts the ropes holding the harness suspending her above the stage, leading to her falling and getting impaled on a fence, causing her death.

If, like Mag, Marianne can see when she sings, there's a chance she might suffer a similar fate especially since Gerard LOVES referencing weird niche cult movies and this one heavily features the concept of being forced to perform/serve against your will that is a key part of the Long Live The Black Parade tour
