I was just rereading HCQ lore and thinking about Yingxing and Blade and I had a sudden inkling that you might need to yell again. Would you like an Emotional Indigo to go along with that?
(Careful, itās very bitter.)
RAAAHH I always need to yell about them honestly,,, thinking about them drives me insane
Ty for the Emotional Indigo, Iāll sip so I donāt choke while crying šš
I donāt think enough people acknowledge how important resentment is to Blade AND Yingxingās characters and lore. Whether itās in the form of erasing Bladeās resentment and how it ties to his obsessions or removing the complexities within that resentment and turning it into flat hatred.
Yingxingās entire legacy is shaped by his hatred of the Abominations of Abundance, though he found true passion in his craft as well. He started on that path because he lost e v e r y t h i n g, because they took everything from him. Iām willing to bet that likely in those early years especially as he was being mistreated by the other celestial masters on the Zhuming, that that hatred might have been the only thing keeping him going to yāknow keep living on. Additionally, we see Yingxing grew into a bit of a resentment against the long life species of the Xianzhou Luofu, potentially when the whole of the Alliance, given the mistreatment he endured and continued to endure throughout his life for being a short life species. (Still havenāt recovered from learning that the CN description of the Discarded Ingenium Parts makes it clear that they maliciously sabotaged him by giving him that trash and discarded partsā¦) so this tendency to hate, to form these grudges, is rather apparent in Yingxing, he wasnāt some bubbly, happy go luck, bright character prior to everything. He was bitter himself, even if he was much more playful and expressive.
Moving over to Blade, we see this tendency for resentment stay. That hatred carries over and it transforms. He still hates the abominations of abundance just as Yingxing did, but now it has changed and become a form of self loathing as well as he now too is an abomination of abundance, just look at how he talks about his body āa despicable shell.ā And of course, we canāt talk about resentment in Blade without bringing up Jingliu and Dan Feng/Dan Heng. It was explicitly stated by one of the voice actors for Blade (canāt remember if it was JP or CN) that his hatred for Dan Heng is like one of the only things keeping him going, if not the only thing keeping him going. But again, itās not just flat hatred. Bladeās resentment is all built on the foundation of Yingxingās feelings towards Dan Feng, the care and love and fondness he felt and the sheer betrayal he felt twisting those emotions. On top of this, it must be stated Jingliuās influence in this hatred forming at all. You can pinpoint an aspect of Bladeās character and his motives and tie a lot of them right back to Jingliu and what she did to him. That desire for revenge, the feeling of needing to repay their sin, the hatred he feels bitter and twisted by her, his own self loathing, even his desire for death can be directly tied to her. So that adds some complexity to the feeling of resentment towards Dan Heng, as well as all that the bracer of the Passerby relic set reveals. For Jingliu, I think his hatred might be even more apparent and a little less complex in how theyāve displayed it, but it still takes an interesting form. He hates Jingliu, she tortured him so no wonder, butā¦ he still yields to her. He still believes her brainwashing unquestionably, he doesnāt fight against any of the mindsets she instilled in him, there seem to be lingering feelings of strong melancholy in his view of her looking at the moment when he died. Itās a very strange and sad dynamic, one made even sadder I feel by the sheer lack of remorse Jingliu shows towards him and what she did to him. It makes me so sad
I would rant more but my head hurts and I need to eat so maybe Iāll scream later! Ty for the drink and the opportunity šš

hsr leaks!! No story leaks, itās kit leaks
SAM PRILMINARY KIT LEAKS š„³š„³š„³ I AM WINNING, SAM IS HP DRAIN DPS, I WIN ITS LIKE THE BOSS BATTLE also very interesting that Sam also follows a similar, I donāt have an energy gauge format with the Ult,, wonder how thatāll exactly work
It is crazy how both Sam and Blade are hp drain DPS of the destruction path, and then Silver Wolf and Kafka both rocking nihility, wonder if theres anything lil connecting them like Sam and Blade have lol
Ofc thatās all still subject to change to certain degrees, Iām excited and I feel like Iāve just won the war, 2.3 will be Samās patch TRUSTT
Quite the group Elio has put together, Iām dying over the person seeking life and death respectively both have that HP drain, itās so evil for so many reasons, and then the person seeking fear and the one seeking fun both chilling on the nihility path together
Makes me wonder if Elio will eventually be playable and if so, what path Elio will end up rocking
Abundance to keep those two in check? Harmony to boost them all up? Maybe even a special style of Preservation that would offer some nice synergy with the two destructions?
Who knows, but given the roles his members take on, I kind of want Elio to either be a supporter or a sustainer, especially looking at how itās all of them actually out on missions fulfilling his scripts while heās hanging in the back writing them
ANYWAYS Im excited, I will have the full SH family so help me god

I firmly believe Abbey by Mitski is a Blade song and no one can convince me otherwise
There's something about the lyrics, conveying not only a deep sense of dissatisfaction but the implication of the speaker not knowing themselves outside of tragedy in lines like "There is a light that I can see / But only, it seems, when there's darkness in me" and my GOD does it just scream Blade to me
Across both lifetimes, it fits together so well
Because when you get down to it, not even as Yingxing, his life was still shaped and steeped in tragedy from the moment he was a young young child (as emphasized by BH's travelogue) all the way up until his death and transformation. It was always dominated by revenge, and even when perhaps the vengeance died down in his older age, he was still caught in this continuous feeling of trying to prove himself to people who never were going to properly acknowledge him or see his worth. In his next lifetime, tragedy strikes him once again. Perhaps even his existence in and of itself is a tragedy, but after his time with Jingliu, he once more is consumed by revenge. And with the way he dehumanizes himself, his deal and the way he goes about his goals, perhaps Blade can't see himself outside of that revenge considering his wish is to die as it finally finishes, to have a "final funeral to the unnamed's life and to everything he ever hated."
He makes me feel a lot of things, I need Hyv to bring him back or else
