Attention all chronies I'm currently doing a project about what it's like to be a person who lives with chronic illness. I'd appreciate any messages about what it's like for you to live like what you have .

So an anon asked about before and after photos of prednisone. So I have the top row before prednisone, the Middle is photos a couple weeks into the prednisone when the swelling first started, and then more recent photos of my horribly puffy swollen prednisone cheeks and body. I get really self conscious about it all since I’ve always been tiny and prednisone makes me swell like a balloon but I know it’ll all go away once I get off the prednisone just like it has in the past. I regardless love my body and try to always have a positive self image but it really does bother me still when people comment on my weight or swelling since most people only have negative comments. But here you go Anon! Enjoy!

Things aren't easy with arthritis especially when you are a kid and you feel like your friends ,teachers ,family, or anyone understands you ... well I'm here for you guys I have only had SJIA (systematic juvenile idiopathic arthritis ) for 8 years I know it's a rough road it will take a toll on you ... I thought I was close to remission and BAM!!!! Huge flare ... I've had both knees operated on , my hip had marrow test done , and 9 million other tests . Worst part of it all is my bones are so brittle so I fall down a step or anything and I break a bone . God knows it's not easy

So I was at summer camp last week and we were doing this talent show and this kid in a wheelchair got up on stage and said “I’m going to be doing stand up comedy.” And then he stood up from his chair before saying “On second thought, I’m gonna do sit down comedy instead.” And I’ve never heard an audience laugh so hard
