i hate to encourage "kids these days" attitudes, but I really do dislike how often I see posts of (probably) young people asking for permission to make fan materials. Like it's not even cases of controversial ships, it's stuff like "is it ok to make an OC based on this published work." what causes this mindset

I can't.. articulate myself very well here but like man. Natalie's been consistently The Worst throughout Claw, but in that moment where she get's in the cop car, there was something in that internal monologue that really resonated with me. I really cant explain myself well here, but somewhere around "Why did I cry so much?" and "Did I come here to do so little? I made him smile." something in her really hit me in the gut. Brought forth a phantom of a memory of a sadder, younger version of myself. jesus christ
