Inktober 2018 - Day 22 - “Expensive”
Welp, I dropped the ball. Missed posting the last four days. Haven't drawn anything the last three. Getting back into it by finalizing my friend's DND character. Don't tell them! Heehee. Gonna let it sit overnight so I can touch it up with fresh eyes tomorrow, then add a few simple splashes of color, then voila. Meanwhile, I can't believe October is almost over.

Inktober 2018 - Day 12 - “Whale”
The urge to not draw was strong today. Entered some sort of funk early on that stuck with me throughout most of the day. Watched a decent amount of Scrubs, then watched Blazing Saddles for the first time, while nomming on some snacks. Inktober kept bugging my mind, so I'm glad I still put ink to paper. Just enough to say, "I did it." Ultimately I feel better, especially after drawing. This weekend I hope to get back to the comic making, start creating art to sell, and draw some DnD characters for a few friends. Rev up those drawing engines!

Inktober 2018 - Day 11 - “Cruel”
Ran out of pages today, so had to start cutting paper. Nothing too exciting in the way of drawing per se, but still making progress! Hear, hear!

Inktober 2018 - Day 10 - “Flowing”
I'll admit, I'm procrastinating my comic work. Been busy and pretty exhausted after work the last two days. Haven't had enough energy or time to sit down and enjoy the Better Call Saul season 4 finale. So that was on my mind, and I decided to draw Jim and Kim. Such a good show. (No idea what that has to do with the "flowing" theme, but ah well! I'm still drawing, so I won't beat myself up too much! Tomorrow I'll push myself to get back to working on my comic!)

Inktober 2018 - Day 6 - “Drooling”
Managed to sketch out a page within 20 minutes! I feel like it's getting easier to start drawing each time. I'm sure it sounds silly to feel such triumph over such little victories, but I'll admit, I tend to feel a lot of resistance before drawing. So these victories are hecka important to me. Besides, I'm aiming for the long haul. If I only draw ~15 minutes for the rest of my life, so be it! That's better than none! I can't remember who said it... I'll have to hunt them down... but they said that it takes a bit of time to draw out the crappy art from your pencil/medium, before you get to the good stuff. Feel like I'm getting there.

Inktober 2018 - Day 4 - “Spell”
Way back, I had a tennis instructor tell us that tennis professionals had these little rituals before they served, and encouraged us to create our own. Bounce the ball a few times on the ground or something. Point was to create a habit that would help us get in the mindset of serving.
When I started Inktober, I put on a bandanna to keep sweat from dropping onto my art. Fourth day in, weather is cooler, but I still put the bandanna on. It has become my little ritual. A little spell to get into the mindset of drawing.
Today I managed to "finish" a rough page and draw for 40 minutes, and two hours earlier than the last three days I started drawing. (Which means I can go to sleep earlier. Haha.) I'd call that progress!.
