Next PAINT& SIP is coming! Third Thursdays of the month are so much fun! Join us on April 21st at 6:30 PM. This month we are featuring artist Jodi Trujillo, a young lady who has spent a lifetime perfecting her craft and using art to bring joy. Jodi is no stranger to this type of event as she successfully launched a series of Paint Parties in California. Join us in learning how to paint something beautiful, and meet other artists (amateurs and professionals alike). No previous experience is needed. Michael's powerful and intimate storytelling, combined with Rachel's transcendent musical score left us speechless and wanting more! The tremendous amount of research that went into this project, the creativity to illustrate such a tumultuous time in our history of Hawaii, and the dedication of all involved did not go unnoticed. CALL TO ARTISTS! We are excited to invite you to submit your work for our May exhibit: Iconic Oahu - Buildings, Beaches, and Backroads, running May 5-29, 2022. Curated by MaryAnne Long, this exhibit will showcase iconic scenes and experiences on Oahu. We are soliciting ORIGINAL work for the main gallery: paintings, sculptures, photography, and any other creative medium that captures iconic scenes and cultural experiences representing life on the island of Oahu. There will also be a "pop-up" room for prints and other non-original pieces. While Oahu, "The Gathering Place," is the most commercially developed and populated Hawaiian island, with almost one million residents, our installation will complement an exhibit running simultaneously at the Downtown Arts Center, which will highlight the "Friendly Isle" of Molokai, with less than 1% of the population of Oahu. Pineapple Man & Friends is returning to The ARTS at Marks Garage and we are dusting off our costumes in anticipation! This exhibition, curated by the godfather of hawaiian comics Sam Campos @kaaawasaki , has assembled some of the best comic book artists in the state for this event!
