We would like to introduce ArtsCan Circle's Executive Director. Laura Vukson is a member of the Tlicho Dene Nation from the Northwest Territories. She was born in Northern Ontario and lived in both Sioux Lookout and Pickle Lake. Her previous work has involved advocating for refugees, mental health awareness and indigenous persons with disabilities. Her passion is helping indigenous youth express themselves through creative arts. She enjoys travel, writing and horses. Her home base is Toronto.

On Sunday, musicians Steafan Hannigan, Cale Crowe, Glen Caradus and artists Binashee-Quae Couchie-Nabigon and Ryan Cunningham will be traveling to the community Pikangikum. A week-long creative arts workshop will be held at the 聽Enochokay Birchstick School. Stay tuned for updates!

MERIDIAN VR STORY #5 "Art Alive: Pikangikum" This interactive #VR mural is a collaboration by artists from ArtsCan Circle, Spotted Fawn Art &聽students from Pikangikum, ON.
In Dec 2016, they painted a new mural on the wall of their school.
Indigenous filmmaker Amanda Strong used stop motion to adapt it into an animated VR piece. #CDNfilm
