Aloha friends 🤙🏼 I walked along the Yarkon River 5 km to the sea and back. SUP with a paddle - super workout and freedom of mind 😎💪🏼

About the benefits and numbers:

Stand-SUP is known to be an amazing full body workout than most people think.

Almost every muscle in the body, from the muscles in your legs to your arms and upper back to your core, is involved when you balance on the board and push the paddle through the water.

Just standing on the board and keeping your balance can burn up to

✅ 186 calories per session.

As you become more confident and move on to more strenuous activities, your calorie burn also increases!

On average, an hour of paddle boarding burns

✅ 305 to 430 calories, paddleboarding yoga

✅ 416 to 540 calories, rowing

✅ 623 to 735 calories, paddle racing

✅ 713 to 1125 calories.

By comparison, running for an hour typically burns between 510 and 650 calories.

As with all sports, the harder and longer you work, the more calories you are bound to burn. It can be slow at first as you first learn to balance and stay in motion.

Beginning rowers begin to gradually get stronger and build muscle, which helps not only burn calories, but also row better.
