We strive for better future but is it for everyone?
Hello Everyone! This is my first post. Today my friend encouraged me to share my views on Tumblr. So here I am....
I was talking to my dad when I saw two young lads in their 20′s helping my parents with household chores. I felt sad looking at them and their future. I wondered why better future is not for everyone. Here I am thinking of advancing my career, living a luxurious life and working towards for a better life, and there are people who work hard everyday barely making their ends meet. It’s so sad how these young lads probably started working at an early age to support their poor families and missed formal education and a chance to live a better life. We are so caught up in our lives and building our better future that we forget to look around and help others build a better future too. I wonder if they will ever have a better future.
There’s no denying that one has to work to survive and child labor is bad. But can their families survive without their support. If they were to work to support their families from an early age yet also gain formal education to have a chance of better future, would it be possible? Can we give them a chance to learn and earn? Probably if they learnt a skill that they could apply to earn like developing softwares. I know there are many kids who developed their own applications and own businesses. Only if they knew of these different paths they can take to also have a better future like rest of us, better future would be for everyone.
