I hadn't posted in a while, but here is my interpretation of Artemis Entreri as an amigurumi, big plushie edition.

He is probably the character I have seen whose mood matches his outer appearance best, like he gets disheveled when he is mentally in trumoil.

So I made the choice to make his hair shorter but add a beard that is something they often signal as a sing.

He looks so cute and round too I really like him

Also regarding the previous post, shout out to "Noble Knight Games" from Fitchburg, WI

I had secured two copies, one from the collectors edition od Legacy of the drow and the other the silent blade, and it had been a great experience.

Quality awesome, almost new in The silent blade case and ina great consition in the legacy one, price was more than good as well so all and all really recommend even if ykur are not from the US (like I)

I was pleasantly surprised by this book.

I'm the odd type, I think, that has read this books out of order, mostly favoring titles where Artemis and Jarlaxle appear and boy was this one interesting in that regard.

I lightly knew the story thanks to the mercenary saga, but going in deep was curious indeed. I was heavily triggered by some of Drizzt's actions towards Wulfgar's state of mind (sorry to the Drizzt fans, but the boy didn't handle the situation well) and I really, really enjoyed the whole getting into Entreri's mind once he is back to Calimport, seen how he reacted and the fights, I just loved all of them.

The moment where he is rescued was so stupidly fun for me, really good book, highly recommended.

So I decided to try and make a Zaknafein plushie to go with the Jarlaxle one I made not long ago, somehow I still feel like he is a little naked without his weapons, I might try to make them in the future.

And yes he has long hair

I know official art got him with shorter hair but the first design I ever saw of him (on the comic books) was with a ponytail and long hair and so shall my plushie have 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I do like Jarlaxle is extremely smart to point that Kimmuriel looked in his mind and saw how endlessly clever he was.

But also, when it comes to his adventures with either Zak or Artemis.

His plans go wrong and it’s a massive almost comedic cluster fuck. Where he somehow pulls victory out of defeat and makes it all look like this plan all along even though everyone almost died. Also melting into the wall a few times when all was at a impossible loss

I already posted an image of this hug size plushie of Jarlaxle, but I wanted to take a proper pick of him, specially now that I have him starring in not one but two dnd campaings with my friends.

I'm happy to report that he hasn't found any potentially dangerous magical items or Crystal shards, skulls, nor any dragons... Yet 🤣

Sibling rivalry headcanon

Gromph noticing how young Jarlaxle is very smart and trying to train him into being a wizard in his early years

Jarlaxle being bored with an academic lifestyle but following along and cheating his way so he can steal as many magical trinkets as he can.

Jarlaxle: why learn a spell when you can wear a necklace that does the spell for you?

Gromph: you can only wear one necklace but I know you are smart enough to memorise 10 spells

Jarlaxle: who says I can’t wear 10 necklaces?

Gromph: good taste and that would be cheating

[Jarlaxle laughs in pickpocketing and already wearing several necklaces under his robes]

Jarlaxle: Lolth will have my head for cheating in her city /s

Gromph would work it out and in an exam ask Jarlaxle to cast more spells than trinkets he has on him/were stolen. Followed by Jarlaxle being expelled….from the highest window. But Jarlaxle kept few more trinkets hidden like feather fall or fly to survive (if levitate doesn’t save him). Knowing full well he’d eventually get caught like this

So I shared the big versions, I will soon make a post with better photos but I also made an smoler toys so I could carry them around for adventures as keychains (that's why they are a little frayed, they have been traveling with me since December).

Again, by following the aforementioned turorial they are really easy to make. I reinforced the union with the keychain and I sew their hand and feet together, since I found out early that they would get tangled around and that made easyer for them to slip off.

Drow Reference Material for your OC and Fanfiction Purposes

This is not a complete list, but here are some references I use often when trying to write thins that are somewhat lore accurate.

This is one of the coolest books I have in physical form. Fortunately for you, you can get the whole book for free in digital form here. I used this CONSTANTLY when writing fics or formulating OCs.

Published in 2012, the same year the Legend of Drizzt book Charon's Claw released, it goes into INCREDIBLE detail about drow culture and the city of Menzoberranzan itself. 10/10

Published in 1992 , Menzoberranzan City of Drow, has a lot of interesting information, but some of it might be old and out of date. There are a few things I noticed that have been changed. This is still a great source of more drow information.

There are two Drow of the Underdark books... this one is for the Forgotten Realms setting and in 2e. The 2007 one is more for other settings as was pointed out to me.

Published in 2007, Drow of the Underdark provides more insight into drow culture. There are, however, aspects of this that are outdated. I take some of these older books as if they were written by a person who was observing the drow as an outsider with their own prejudices and preconceived notions.

Demihuman Deities has a ton of text on lots of gods. Good reference for drow gods and just about any other god you want more information on.

Drow language translator - I don't know how accurate this is, but I use it for fanfiction writing anyway.

Excellent resource for Legend of Drizzt and related Forgotten Realms books. Timeline is very valuable when writing fanfiction.

Legend of Drizzt and Discworld cross over

Catti-Brie and Captain Carrot exchanging stories over being a red headed human raised by dwarves

Drizzt and Captain Angua exchanging childhood traumas with siblings and stories about trying to fit in with who they are while falling in love with a red headed human raised by dwarves. Drizzt is overall good with werewolves

I have no idea who made the drawing but two years ago now I decided to take it as a base to have a custom made pendant reminiscing of one of my favorite characters from The Dark Elf books.

I'm just missing something from my favorite angry assassin, although I hadn't found what yet 🤔

Photos are not the best, but by trying the Amazing pattern of @drow-apologist to make a Jarlaxle amigurumi doll I went into a rabbit hole of trying to make Artemis and Zaknafein too (still trying to figure out how to make their weapons) as well as a friends dnd Character named Katak, who is a verdan and too cute for their own good.

So I found this wonderful pattern and I decided to give it a go, I highly encourage anyone to try, they come out so cute 🥰🥰🥰🥰

so i was requested by @enbyartist to drop the pattern for my jarlaxle plush, and i’m more than happy to deliver. this is gonna be a very long post, so pattern will be under the cut

materials used:

- 3.25mm crochet hook

- yarn needle, to stitch everything together

- 10mm safety eyes

- grey, black, purple, magenta, gold, and rainbow colored yarn (weight doesn’t really matter)

- poly-fil stuffing

pattern guide:
