SORRY FOR POTENTIALLY BOTHERING butttttt ive been wondering these things for a while and i just wanna know , where did the name padraig come from? (from your paradox pin thing) is it a made up name because im genuinely confused did i miss something and who exactly is L.S? ive seen that name when i was making up my paradox storyline and i probably missed something too x (no clue why im always so scared to send these asks LOL)

Thank you for asking! You are not bothering me! I'm glad. Please forgive the lengthy reply.

L.S. is one of the leaders of the Serpent's Hand. Check out the "Persons of Interest" tab.

L.S. is causing an incident known as "Security Breach Incident X23." I think Dr. Paradox may be a operative involved in this incident.

In addition, the reports for SCP-268 and SCP-407 are written by Dr. Paradox. As noted in the SCP-268 report, the cap originally belonged to L.S. It is of Irish origin and has a label with writing in Middle Irish. "The Garden is the Serpent's Place."

For these reasons, I have Irish and snakes image in Dr Paradox, and I named him after St Patrick. (So the correct name is Pádraig, not Padraig lol.)

And finally…

Padraig D. Oxyartes

This is my favorite headcanon, but I haven't been able to use it at all hahaha.

scp - the paradox is dead

so....a foundation staff with an ambiguously close relationship with another member of staff got into trouble and was executed, and then had his death covered up. i wonder where else has this happened before

(i do want to see this as some sort of karmic payback that after having commited this act, the same fate would befall kondraki years later)

Do you have anymore hcs on Paradox and Simon’s relationship? Close coworkers? Dating? Childhood friends? Work husbands?

If it's just personal head canons? Well...

Glass was assigned to work with Paradox as his senior on some intense labor and time intensive project that involved both their specialties.

This was mostly torture for Glass, who is very organized, tidy, cautious, and procedural. Paradox is... not any of those things.

Maybe they fucked. Who can say.

I don't think they worked together all that long, maybe a few months? Half a year? I think it ended when [REDACTED] happened to Dr. Paradox.

Possibly Dr. Paradox defected to the Serpent's Hand, and him "Turning into two ducks" is a prank coverup by Kondraki who claims to have murdered him.

Or... possibly Kondraki just murdered him. Maybe it's both?

Serious answer, I didn't think about it because it's not important to his character, role, or function.

My statement spoke more to the themes at play (as well as the improbability of last names like "Gears" and "Iceberg" lmao). Like, I just think it's suitable that these people that work at the Giant Authoritarianism Global Police State Factory have to depersonalize themselves (and others).

Honestly the whole thing was mostly a joke! It was just a pun based on his name. So I didn't give it too much thought since it wasn't meant to be too serious.

This was a very different time on the SCP wiki! I was there when it was still on edit.this instead of wikidot! Lots of things were sarcastic or jokes or clearly meant to be silly.

Then when people started to actually weave characters into SCPs and stories and stuff, I decided to use Dr. Glass instead...

To me part of the joke is just how [REDACTED] he is, so not many tbqh. But I've always thought the Foundation had a good reason to enact such an extreme damnatio memoriae. Possibly related to his name? Maybe he specialized in temporal or existential anomalies and messed with the wrong thing?

I do like @asata-neko 's take on him haha but all credit is hers.

The connection between Dr. Glass and the Chaos Insurgency is mentioned in "Unfinished Business 2."

And TroyL, the author of this tale, was involved in creating the character dossier.

I don't know any more than that.

On the character dossier it says Glass has connections to the chaos insurgency and serpents hand. I think the serpents hand connection is from Paradox but whats the insurgency connection??

Ah, unfortunately, I have no clue.

My guess it's due to a tale someone else wrote, and whoever wrote the character dossier page decided to just include as 'canon'?

That's the problem with a body of work that functions like SCP haha.
