simon 'in defense of the weak, in the face of the mighty' snow could totally be a union rep. once he's been in construction long enough he can get absolutely fucking ruthless about it. he hits 40 and he's late for his anniversary dinner with baz because he was shouting down a contractor that wasn't going to offer them hot-weather shelter and water breaks because of a time crunch with a ferocious rage he hasn't had to summon since the hobgoblin hoard.

(they have their water breaks, their cooling tent, AND an extra 5k by the end of the day and simon's electrician got a box-fan set up in the crawlspace while he's working. june in london is bad but getting one over simon is worse.)

I think as someone with OCD I relate to Baz so much because in many ways vampirism is similar to OCD.

Having intrusive thoughts about hurting others despite it being very upsetting?

Being ashamed of having those thoughts because no one understands and will shun you?

Having compulsions (drinking blood) you hide from others that only temporarily quells those thoughts?

Hating yourself for these thoughts and thinking it makes you evil?

Isolating yourself from others so they don’t find out that you’re a monster?

Ultimately those thoughts do not making you a monster because you are not your thoughts, and it doesn’t mean you actually want to act on them?

i’ve had so much uni stuff going on this week that i didn’t even notice it wasn’t wednesday anymore 😭 anyway, i am really excited to show some bits of what i’m working on for COBB with @the-beard-of-edward-teach!

i am very excited for our COBB collab because kaz’s story is genuinely sooo great and i hope the rest of you are just as excited as me :) i’m planning on making two pieces, but so far i’ve only made actual progress on the first one :) here it is!

it’s very much a work in progress because i keep being unsatisifed with simon’s design. he is NOT cooperating

as for my simon knight wip, i am completely stuck. i have a very specific vision for the coloring which is absolutely below my skill level, so this is all i’ve got so far

if anyone has advice on working with experimental colors i desperately need it 🙏
