For players of Undertale, the Genocide Route is long, grueling, and painful. One of the biggest obstacles to completing it is one of its bosses. This boss is a skeleton aware of your murderous ways. He blocks your path, heroically standing in your way despite being so ill-suited to stop a mass murderer. His unusual tactics in battle chip away at your resolve; his words show his belief that you could be a better person if you tried.

That’s right….it’s Papyrus.

💀 Papyrus x Reader headcanons 🍝

From the very first day you met, you were amazed at how energetic and active Papyrus was, no matter what. He often took you with him, showing you the puzzles he worked so hard on, and he told you about his brother, Undyne, and their training sessions. He was thrilled to have someone as close as you in his life and couldn't contain his joy. You were the one with whom he was ready to share all the good and bad moments of his life and create many more memories with you

Snowdin was a new place for you, and Papyrus was glad to have the opportunity to show you interesting and beautiful places. He lived there long enough to give you a little tour, even though he was a little nervous during it. There was no way he would admit it, but it was true. You noticed the orange blush that appeared on his skull and it made you smile softly. You didn't tease him about his embarrassment, instead you asked him questions about the city, the forest, and his puzzles, which helped him take his mind off his embarrassment and get inspired again, eager to answer your questions

There was something you never told Papyrus. You didn't tell him that you and his brother had a serious conversation. Sans wanted to make sure that you wouldn't break his brother's heart, and you were ready to pass that test. Papyrus was really dear to you and you were ready to prove it to his brother if necessary. He wasn't going to force you to do anything just by having a serious conversation with you. This is the first time you've seen Sans be so serious, but even when he pretended it was just a joke at the end, you knew he wasn't joking. When Papyrus asked you what you and his brother had been talking about for so long, you smiled gently at him and said that you were talking about how wonderful he was. Your answer suited them both, but you knew that Sans was still watching you, at least for now

You cooked with him. The more you watched him cook, the more you realized that the chance of you being able to eat his spaghetti was decreasing, so you offered to help him. You cooked together and you really tried to do as he told you, but to the best of your ability you tried to make the dish better. You would never have told Papyrus about this, but you weren't the only one who thought he had trouble cooking. Thanks to your joint efforts, the spaghetti turned out to be quite good. At least you were able to eat them without fear for your own health, and Papyrus was happy to see how you ate

Papyrus was really very dear to you. He was wonderful and you loved him very much, just as he loved you. Both of you weren't brave enough to directly show and talk about your feelings, but no one forced you to rush it. You were moving at a comfortable pace in your relationship, and you were only getting happier every day. You both hoped that it would be there in the future. It was a wish that you shared with each other
