LFRP || Rhionel Ashdawn

A dark permanence manifest upon an armored silhouette. A dim fel glow of his gaze illuminates the raven sheen which glistens along the length of dark, silken hair. The glimmering light falls upon the contours of a suit of tarnished iron and steel now weathered by the toll of time and countless ventures. A pale countenance houses a myriad of scars that bear a tale of small renown and paint a reticent guise that guards many dark machinations privy to but few. He is a forgotten relic, a specter shrouded in an onyx veil of secrecy and allure, and as he glares at you with prodding eyes it inspires a gnawing mixture of wonder, enticement, and wariness.   

The trappings of a mercenary do not betray the sin’dorei’s chosen occupation. Heavily armed and seasoned, the warrior with a dubious repute earns his coin selling his sword and, upon rare whims, his vividly intricate recounts of adventures past. After all, a tale is only worth regaling if it begins with the wrong decision and a captive audience of one to lure into his possession.

He runs in the circles of the black market, finding himself amidst the company of sorcerers, witches, and those possessing the power to sway his self-serving inclinations. He is but a pawn in their opulent games and contests, a tool without polish; a weapon which needs no whetstone for sharpening. He will do as bid, for it is an innate nature of his to follow those in positions of dark powers. 

He holds allegiance to none but his own, having grown jaded and indifferent though the passage of time and wars which have shaped nations and kingdoms for centuries. The flames of conflict violently rage around him and beckon change,yet a lone aspect remains unchanging and one the mercenary understands: coin is the same no matter the hand which proffers it. 

Deceit comes as easy as donning a mask of indifference, and wicked is he who so flippantly casts his humanity aside and allows himself seduced by the promise of power. The measure of his reach is stifled only by the lust of his ambition, and you are the kindle for his fire.  

Thematically I enjoy the darker aspect of all things roleplay: macabre, crime, or anything of the occult persuasion with a Warcraft backdrop while keeping it mostly within the restraints of the lore. I am a fan short stories, overarching plots, or just one-shots and don’t believe in forcing anything for the sake of plot which may feel against character. While I enjoy plotting and pre-planning I believe an organic flow to character interactions and story is the most vital aspect of any tale. I am especially fond of character dynamics and exploring the chemistry that brews between the separate characters and subsequently dissecting/analyzing their respective motivations and behaviors. Admittedly, I spend as much time gushing about the latter as I do writing so if you are of a similar mind then I guarantee we will get along. 

While in-game RP is my preferred medium I’ve not had an active subscription in more than a year. While I am open to returning, for the time being tumblr, and to a lesser extent discord will have to suffice. I can provide the latter to any interested parties with an PM.
