Can we talk about how nonsensical Damien’s backstory is?

He’s supposed to be in his early 20s but I refuse to believe the process of studying law -> getting a job and having an unethical case -> STARTING YOUR OWN BUSINESS eventually with the catch of YOU CAN SEE GHOSTS NOW was so quick, I googled it and studying law takes 4 years at least so he was 22 at best when he got the job, and after that starting your own buisness based off your ghost seeing abilities shouldn’t be that quick unless his family is ridiculously rich.. he CANT be in his early 20s by the time dreamworld takes place assuming he’s as experienced as the show and wiki claims

Also according to the wiki he did his cases while still in school?? Thats circling back the timeline completely unless he studied something else in case his job fails which makes sense

Logically he should be 25 at the youngest and even that’s abit absurd

Honestly same with the founders how tf did they form such a successful business with such advanced robots and 8 FLOORS Right after high school, like sure they cut safety corners but all of this? In this economy? No way a robotics competition prize was that high but maybe I’m just ranting at this point.. wiatt is rich maybe he funded the facility even if he was suspicious of it to help lewis? It’s in character but I don’t remember it being mentioned I don’t remember a lot of things so maybe there’s explanation to all of this idk

Analog goes insane (again)

Hello all. I'm doing this shit again.

So with the recent announcement that Welcome to Dreamworld, Epilogue of Endings, Galactic Defense Force, Spellmania, and seemingly Heroes of Destiny, are all in fact connected, I decided to go over how, exactly, they're connected.

Let's go.

So first off, the simplest connection to make was WTDW and Spellmania. Mike is canonically a fan of the Spellmania comic in universe, so we can just like. Note that. Easy.

For HOD, I noted it the same as Spellmania, because that's the only way I could only think of it working. I doubt that the horses are just hiding in a mountain somewhere. I'll be honest I haven't read HOD so if I'm missing something please tell me.

Next was WTDW and EOE, which was also pretty easy, because I had suspected this connection for a while now. As said on this page of the official WTDW website, Litho came from a seemingly post-apocalyptic future, fucked with soul magic, and got sent back in time. We don't get a lot of details about his time, but he says:

"The world isn't as rich as it used to be ages ago. The forest floors are coated by layers of soot and ash, the sky is red whenever it isn't grey, and valleys where nature had once thrived were now known as the wastelands."

But now I don't even have to grasp at straws! We have confirmation!

Which leads nicely into my next two points:

GDF takes place at the same time as EOE, just in space.

We know from the EOE pilot that some humans fled into space when everything went to shit, so it's not impossible that they found alien life.

2. The existance of alternate timelines/universes.

Litho's portal was initially meant to go to an alternate universe, but he fucked it up and went back in time. Remember when I said Spellmania and HOD were easy and simple?

My personal theory is that Spellmania and HOD are both seperate universes, not fully connected to the main one. For Spellmania at least, the existance of the comic can be explained by either some sort of universal anomaly, or, the funnier option, Solo somehow managed to make and publish the comic across dimensions.

I have many more thoughts, but for now, this will suffice.

We also have to acknowledge that sometimes you do just encounter shit that causes your sanity meter to decrease

Hot take: at the end of the day I’m glad wtdw was cancelled, the show (while fun, and had its moments) was pretty bad and rain clearly got way better at writing since! I’m glad it’s getting rebooted because the story has a lot of potential
