Something BIG happened today! I’m excited to share that my first book, This is Me: Memories and Musings of a Thirtysomething, is now available!

Self published through @bookleafpublishing, it is officially available as of TODAY!! It can be found at Amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com in paperback form and it's super affordable!

I poured my heart and soul into this book of poems. It is me sharing very raw, real moments and feelings from my life and I'm equally thrilled and terrified that this is now out in the world.

I remember this taking forever. I insisted on doing in the living room where all my fur babies and my SO were in the same space. Took forever! But I have to be honest with myself, I'm such a perfectionist that it would have taken me forever in my office, too 🙊 This spread is also a great example of my need to fill empty space. I didn't have too much going on that week, so I didn't need much space for writing. I'm not too big on astrology (in the sense of characteristics that match your sign), however, I love constellations 🔭 and I chose to use that ones that were visible in the night sky viewable to me that week. Omgosh, help a girl out! The struggle is real when it comes to this aspect ratio nonsense. I have spent WAY to much time today researching the best editing apps. I had a few already, but none offered 4:5...how is that even possible right now with the popularity of IG?! 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Anyway, this was my first dive into using florals as a main feature. Growing up, I ran from florals and now I love them; I'm a bit more girly now I think. 🌺🌻🪴 Flowers can be used in such fun ways, though, don't you think? I was also trying to go out of my comfort zone and create a spread that I could love that wasn't my usual. I love to fill negative space. I CAN do 'less is more' when necessary, but empty space makes me feel blah. So I'm a filler 💯 Starting in January, I worked tirelessly 7 days a week for nearly 5 months to ensure that those who wished to be vaccinated💉🩹 were able to do so. Needless to say, the first few months of my 2021 planner are pretty bare with the bare minimum. I used the opportunity for the overtime to work on paying off all debt 💳🧾...all except those pesky student loans that I'll be paying on until I'm ☠🤬. Then I invested in some @the_happy_planner stickers and accessories so that I could FINALLY spend some time for me 🤗 These 2 spreads were done when things started to slow down a bit and I had just a little time for myself in the evenings. I was also still just really starting out and getting a feel for creating a spread rather than just using appointment stickers - 😴 boring! These aren't my favorite, but they were definitely stepping stones in the right direction. This was inspired during a work huddle this week. Our team discussed adding in some challenges to promote better health and wellbeing. I set out to create something for the team and it turned into this beauty 😍 I made several copies so I can use it as my weekly wellness spread! I included a couple photos of how it started and evolved a bit. I tried to incorporate sections to promote overall health: healthy eating, physical activity, gratitude, etc. I'm really happy with how it turned out 🤗 I used SO many of my sticker books and didn't even think to 📷 them! This was the first real spread I did a few months ago.
