Hello everyone! I've decided to share a little singing competition roleplay challenge that I came up with for my 8th generation legacy heir. I found this gameplay idea quite interesting because there aren't many opportunities for musicians in the game, and she happens to be a singer. So, I'm sharing it and hoping that you will also find it interesting to play!

To participate in this challenge, you will definitely need the "Get Together" and "Get Famous" expansions, and optionally, the "Discover University" expansion

Here are my recommended game settings, but they are not mandatory:

Long lifespan Fame enabled Seasons set to 28 days Challenge starts in autumn

Preparation:

The contest roleplay should be conducted with 2-3 teams, each consisting of 3 participants and a mentor shared by all teams.

Requirements for team participants:

1 participant with a singing skill level of at least 5 - role in the team: "Singer"

1 participant with a writing skill level of at least 5 - role in the team: "Writer"

1 participant with a piano/guitar/violin skill level of at least 5 - role in the team: "Composer"

Requirements for the mentor: Skill level 10 in piano/guitar/violin + Skill level 10 in singing + Character trait "Mentor"

You need to create clubs named "Singing competition, Team #" with 4 Sims in each club. The mentor will be the leader of all clubs, and there should be three participants with different roles

Your characters should be studying at the university in the "Fine Arts" major for the composer and singer, and "Philology" major for the writer. This is not mandatory but desirable for a greater sense of realism, as I envisioned this contest to be university-themed

There should be a karaoke bar and a venue for the Starlight ceremony in the city of Del Sol Valley

The mentor's family budget should be at least 100,000 simoleons, which will serve as the contest prize fund

You will need to play as each participant in turns, so plan in advance which families will be involved and who will move in with whom during gameplay (if there are more than 8 participants)

Objective: Win the singing contest with your team and receive the Starlight prize!

Challenge Conditions:

Each team's journey will consist of three stages: preparation for the contest - the "rehearsal" period, songwriting, and performance in Del Sol Valley

Stage One

During the 21 days of autumn, your characters need to develop their skills to the point where they can write and sell their compositions. This requires a minimum skill level of 9 in each skill for the participants

The participants, except for the writer, should develop their skills through mentoring at club gatherings. The writer will develop their skill independently using the computer, but also participate in club gatherings

Club gatherings should be held at least three times a week, but if you're unable to reach the required skill level, you can hold them daily. The most important thing is to achieve a minimum skill level of 9 for each team member within 21 days. Additionally, it's crucial to ensure that participants with the same role have skills developed to the same level. For example, singers in different teams should all have a skill level of either 9 or 10. Otherwise, it would be unfair

Stage Two

During the last 7 days of autumn, each participant and the mentor must write compositions:

The singer, using a microphone, must compose a song in any genre and sell the rights to it through the mailbox

The composer, using their instrument, must write a song and sell the rights to it through the mailbox The singer and composer must write a song in the same genre

The writer must write a book in the "Poetry" genre and sell the rights to it through the mailbox

The mentor must write 2-3 songs (according to the number of participating teams) in any genre, naming them by the team numbers and sell the rights through the mailbox. For example, "Competition, Team #1". We will need this later

At least one team member, excluding the mentor, must receive a Starlight Award nomination. If this doesn't happen, an additional week is allocated for writing new compositions until someone from the team receives a nomination. Once at least one participant from the team receives a nomination, stop writing compositions as all the necessary conditions have been met

On the following day, the first royalties will start coming in. It's crucial to remember the amount of money received by each participant as it's one of the conditions for earning team points

Now we need to compare the participants with each other Points are awarded to the winning participant in each role

Among writers:

+1 point for the highest quality composition +1 point for a Starlight Award nomination +1 point for the highest royalty

Among composers:

+1 point for a Starlight Award nomination +1 point for the highest royalty

Among singers:

+1 point for a Starlight Award nomination +1 point for the highest royalty

The mentor receives +1 point for the composition that earns the most money. We will need the mentor's score to determine the winner if teams have the same number of individual points

Third Stage

After completing all these conditions, there are only two final steps left. The participants must take part in a karaoke contest and attend the Starlight ceremony. To do this, all participating characters must move to Del Sol Valley for one week

In the Del Sol Valley karaoke bar, the singers should participate in the karaoke contest and perform a song in the genre closest to the one in which their composition was written. The karaoke contest takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 8:00 PM. Choose any one day since each participant can only participate once

After the contest, if a singer from the competing groups wins in the karaoke, the group is awarded +1 point.

If a random Sim wins the karaoke contest instead of your participant, then we look at the number of points earned in the contest. The team with the highest points is awarded +1 point.

And the final step is attending the Starlight ceremony. It takes place on Sunday at 6:00 PM at the venue marked "The Trendiest Spot". Each statuette received adds +1 point to the team

If it happens that teams have the same number of points, the deciding point will be given to the mentor. +1 point is awarded to the team whose name was mentioned in the mentor's song title

At the very end, you can throw a party where the mentor will distribute the honestly earned winnings to the winners or do it directly at the Starlight ceremony

The winner of the winning team who receives the Starlight Award will receive 50,000 Simoleons. If there are multiple participants who receive the award, choose any one of them (the one you liked the most, for example)

The other two participants in the team will receive 25,000 Simoleons each

You can reward the Sims with money using the "Give Gift" action

Today it’s a special posepack post, ‘cause I have reach +600 followers on twitter where I have being since 2 years ago!! Time flies!!

I have not founds to make a give-away as people usually do, so I decided to make a little pose present for all my followers until now. After all, I think most of the followers I have anywhere are there ‘cause my poses. I really appreciate your support and hope to have more simming days with you all.
