look batman joker isn’t insane because insanity isn’t a mental term it’s a legal one to put it simply for you to avoid confusion the joker would have to not know any of things he dose are wrong if joker truly was as insane as he claims to be he would have to not know he’s killing people or doing anything wrong but he simply doesn’t seem to not know in fact he seems to know exactly what he is doing is wrong to the point were if it wasn’t for your city being full of corruption then the joker wouldn’t go to an insane asylum he would just go to prison were he be longs because he knows what he’s doing is wrong so he can’t possibly be long in Arkham asylum but what do you think i mean you are the worlds greatest detective so what do you think about that

... first off do people really not understand the difference between a layman's definition and a technical definition? The Joker, as according to most people, is insane. That's what Joe at the bar would say. I fully understand that technically speaking he's not insane. What he is is a shell of a man sustained off of coping mechanisms and trauma, mixed with severe brain damage. I fully agree that maybe he should go to jail, but the only other jail fit to hold him other than Arkham, which I have put some investments into to upgrade, is stock full of perfectly sane villains who might listen to him. The last thing the league needs to deal with is the Legion of Doom listening to the Joker. He's deceptively intelligent, probably far more than Luthor. I am personally suprised the city has not given him the chair yet, though my morals are against murder of any kind. But that's a question of corruption which, as you stated, is highest in Gotham when compared to the rest of the US. Which is saying something as we no longer live in a democracy.
