When the vestibular system is disrupted, it can affect how we hear and understand speech, leading to difficulties in language comprehension and potentially impacting speech clarity

Which means mark could be suffering from Vertigo (if you don’t know what means, it means mark constantly feels dizziness or spinning). Mark would need speech therapy to help him from simple sentences to communicate with his teammates.

on my previous post i mentioned how he’d have a hard time telling if he’s speaking too loud or too quietly and he’d have a bit of a slur in his speech and i mainly based that off of my own experience but mine wasnt as severe

he’d definitely go to speech therapy but so he can speak with his family.

LIKE ik i keep making my mark more focused on his family but its bc i think he’d be more effected by cecil’s actions. In the beginning he’d feel maybe a little scared to work with anyone ever since the whole altercation in fear of being betrayed again or smthn

i can’t remember the entire timeline or the events that happened in S3, but i like to think that once he lost hearing in one of his ears, he took a break to recover and spend more time with debbie and oliver.

Is it okay if I make a suggestion? What interested me to your OC was that he was partially deaf, I also wear hearing aids in real life for a different condition.

Does your mark know lip reading or sign language? To be honest, I often feel overstimulated by noises as I live in a large population that I just randomly take off my hearing aids and go on with my day. I don’t know if I’m the only one, but I also take off my hearing aids when I’m around with somebody I don’t like and don't want to listen what they’re saying. I sometimes even pretend that my hearing aids just ran out of battery and don’t talk to anyone bcuz people around you treat you differently and sometimes I abuse that privilege to get free stuff (I’m working on that. Don’t worry)

I dont know if my personal experience is comparable to yours but i get it 😭 i couldn’t hear out of my left ear for a while and would act like i couldn’t hear anyone when my other ear was perfectly fine HAHA

When i couldn’t hear out of my left ear i used to not talk for a bit cus i couldn’t tell if i was talking too loud or too quietly n i would slur some of my words so i like to think that my variant is kind of the same when he doesn’t have his hearing aid in
