Hey everybody! Just a little heads up that I am moving this blog. You may have noticed that the url of this blog is now @ask-agent-sanders-v1. That’s because this blog, this one right now, that you’re reading this post on, is on a separate account than my main, @ironwoman359. I did this initially because I was afraid of another sideblog glitch deleting my main (this happened to me in 2017 and it was NOT fun). But by now, I’m tired of trying to manage two accounts, and have therefore decided to make this askblog a sideblog. So if you’d like to keep up with this askblog head on over to @ask-agent-sanders and give it a follow! I heard through the grapevine that Thomas is a theatre boy. What's everyone's favorite musical and/or dream role?

Oh, how to choose just one? You force me to do Broadway a disservice! I suppose I must pick Wicked, it’s romantic, it’s epic, the music is fabulous, what’s not to love? - 🎨

In the Heights, it is both a moving story, a fine composition, and a culturally rich experience.  - 💻

Into the Woods. Dark fairytale setting, morally grey characters, great songs. It’s perfect. - 🌩

The Sound of Music! The love story is so sweet, the music is so lovely, and I love how Maria and the Von Trapps all learn to be a family together!  - 💙 

I think I’m gonna have to go with Rent, that show means so much to me in so many ways. - 🌈

I am totally willing to take prompts for this story! I may not fill it, if i feel it doesn’t work with how I have things set up, but I’ll do my best to make it happen! (also sorry this au has been on something of a hiatus recently, I have a lot of other projects too and my attention tends to wander. I just started a new sideblog for a DIFFERENT au, and on top of all of that, my wedding is in 2 months, so free time has been sporadic recently)

Those are totally going to be a thing, and Disney Pranks with friends and Pokemon Pranks with friends will grow massively popular, due not only to the hilarity of the pranks themselves, but because Thomas’s main victims besides the friends we’re used to in our universe are the avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

The others I feel would be able to reason self defense, but how are Patton and Thomas doing with the fact they may have to pull a trigger on someone in the field? Did Patton even get through any weapons training?

No, it’s okay, Virgil. I…I get why everyone is so curious. I’m the happy, go lucky, one who’s powers are super strong feelings and healing people. I don’t fit the image of the other agents here. But you know what? That’s okay. There are lots of agents who are good at fighting, let me be the one who’s good at calming people down. That can be my thing. I know how to defend myself if I need to, I know how to do my job, and that’s what matters. And sure, I may have the most influence over Thomas, but the rest of you guys are here too. Can the sides control Thomas body while unconscious or asleep? Like it's been mentioned that they'd be a strong defense against mind control, so say if Thomas was being mind controled would one of the sides take over? 🦋

While Thomas being mind controlled isn’t something I like to think about… - 💻

…I do believe that having his sides personified as he does would be sufficient to protect him. As stated before, we do not control his body, but due to the way his subconscious works, the typical methods of “mind control” that S.H.I.E.L.D. has seen before would be ineffective on him, so I am not worried. - 💻

Recently looked into how Egyptians divided the soul into 5 parts (Name, Shadow, Memory, Personality, and the Spark to simplify) and got me thinking are you guys really pieces of a mind, or is it possible you are all (Thomas included) just parts of a soul? Ps. I apologize for any existential crisis I may have caused.

You know…I sort of like the sound of that. Because we all are a piece of Thomas, and together we all make up who he is…that’s sort of like pieces of a soul, right?  - 💙

Well, that is a hard hypothesis to actually test…but I suppose it is possible. - 💻

First I love that they’re being introduced in Thor, very interested in seeing how that second act looks with Thomas there. Second, do you intend to only rewrite the movies where the avengers and shield were a focus? (ie. winter soldier, civil war) I think it would be cool to see slice of life stuff during the other movies. Like Thomas turning on the news, sees Thor in London during Dark World and they’re all just flipping out cuz ‘our friend need help but how do we get to London?!’

I’ll be mostly doing movies where it would make sense for Thomas and Co. to be there. So while SHIELD is a thing, movies where it is active (Avengers, Winter Soldier) would be easy to include them in. But after the fall of SHIELD, they go the Maria Hill route and Thomas gets a job with Stark Industries so that he’s able to make Avenging his full time job (and youtube as his side gig). As for Dark World, Dr. Strange, Ant Man, etc, I’m not sure how I could fit Thomas into those…he’s sorta like Nat or Clint I guess, showing up in the more ensemble cast movies.

Is this going is the order of the movies or just random

My plan was to go in the order of the movies, but then I got stuck on Thor (which is why this AU has been dead for so long, oops), so I may change it? And write out bits in less chronological order than before? Or maybe I’ll just kinda gloss over the events of Thor and have the sides reference them as we get into the Avengers plot, I dunno. We’ll see! (I am going to try and be better about being consistent with this blog, and it is still an interactive thing with the characters, so feel free to ask them stuff!)

Is it possible for one of you to ‘take the reigns’ and essentially control Thomas actions? Like I get he can’t channel your powers but, say he’s undercover and needs to bust out that spanish he doesn’t know but Roman does? Or let someone take over muscle memory so he can sword fight or type in something Logan memorized? Or does it just work like anyone’s brain and things like impulses, happen where one of you just yells loudest and he just defaults to that course of action?

We don’t really “control” Thomas’s actions, at least, not anymore than your own emotions or logical thinking would control your actions. It’s more like, whoever wins the debate, that’s who Thomas listens to (or whoever is loudest/strongest at a given time). But, Roman, per say, could not transfer his own sword skills to Thomas, though Thomas DOES know a little more about how to use a sword than he did before thanks to Roman’s training. - 💻

Headcannon: once Roman is comfortable enough around the other avengers to be annoyed/friendly with them, they get his custom nickname treatment! Bruce: oh this is just great. Roman: fear not jolly green! We got this!

This is 100% a thing that happens, and I am totally stealing that nickname now for the future.
