Berwald realized his mistake too late. He didn’t know the answer to most of their questions, he was a vet not an eye doctor.. well not a human eye doctor. He decided to wait until they finished asking questions before saying anything, which took a while despite how fast they were talking, they had... a lot of questions.

When the merfolk and harpy were finally out of breath from talking for so long Berwald finally spoke “I don’t know, I don’t make glasses”

Lovise peeks out from the top of her tank and noticed something....or someone (Peter?) around "who is is....he?" she thought. Due to her being from the deep sea she probably wouldn't have ever seen a bird before let alone some berd halfling creature. (@ask-aquaverse-nyo-norway hello potential friend ;u; sorry if this is a bad starter or like doesn't make sense or aaaahhhh ;; )

P “woah, the water here is so dark, what kind of fish live here?”

P “oh! there’s someone there”

P “HEY!”

Peter only got more concerned and tried to think of things that made humans happy, while he was wolfing down the rest of the food. ‘they like food and feeding animals, no he’s getting food and fed me but isn’t happy. They like petting animals, not gonna pet me. Oh! they like sleep’ he thought to himself. As soon as he finished eating he jumped off the bench, turned to Micheal and said “Follow me”.

In the distance the familiar sound of webbed feet on tile can be heard, getting closer and closer. A quick glance at the clock shows that it’s almost lunchtime. (@ask-aquaverse-sealandandsweden the sandwich thief is here :) )

Micheal seemed to accept the fate of his sandwitch as he heard the resident bird gremlin approach.

Berwald was about to answer but stayed quiet as he tried to think of how to explain it to them. “The glass in glasses are cut a certain way, depending on the need” he did his best to explain and waited to see their responses. This left Peter with more questions which he proceeded to fire off so quickly it devolved into an assortment of seagull noises.

Peter stared at him for a minute before heading for the sandwich. But wasn’t gone for that long and soon came back with some of Micheal’s lunch. He jumped up on the bench with him and set down what he didn’t eat next to him. He looked up at Micheal expecting him to take it, there wasn’t much food left but it’s the thought that counts.

Peter walked into view with his wings up ready to fly, but put them at this side when he noticed that his victim Micheal made no attempt to run. Peter hopped up to him and loudly asked “Oi, what’s wrong, why aren’t you running?” while walking around him.

“My glasses?” Berwald answered while pointing to them, “he told me they help him see” Peter piped in “still don’t know how ‘glass’ can do that”. He seemed very skeptical about glass.

Ayano quickly rushed about, shuffling through multiple papers that consisted of patient charts and etc. She was so busy that she wasn’t paying attention to where she was going and promptly crashed into someone. “I am so sorry!!” She squeaked and rushed to pick up her fallen papers. She looked up at the much taller vet in front of her. “Berwald right?” She asked. (@ask-aquaverse-nyojapan)

Berwald was caught off guard by the other vet but quickly answered her “ya”. He squatted down to help pick up the papers and after a moment asked “you’re Ayano?” after not thinking of anything else to say, he wasn’t the best at small talk.
