Axel groaned in response to a familiar sound. That voice, he could pick it out in a crowd. If he walked into a church and heard a choir of 50 people singing all at once, he could close his eyes, spin till his brain was backwards, and still be able to pin point exactly where that voice was coming from.

Roxas.

But the words...he just couldn't quite make it out.

Anvil? Argyle? Axew? Was Roxas yelling Pokemon at him? Why, Roxas? Why is it so important that you must yell the Pokemon at me? Are you trying to become the very best?

Axel laughed out loud at his own joke, if it could really be called that. He felt drool dribble out of his mouth as he laughed, soaking into the pillow case beneath his face.

No no no, not Pokemon. Why would Roxas want to be the very best at this time of night? It's far too dangerous out there for the poking and the monning.

Well then...if he didn't say Axew, what did he say? Aaaaaacksssss. Hey that sounds familiar. Familililiar. Like a nickname. Aaaaaackssssiiil. Acksil? What the hell is that gibberish, Roxas? Acksil...AXEL! That sounds familiar. Or is it axle? Is Roxas having car troubles?

"YELLO!" Axel shouted, rapidly sitting up right in his bed, his eyes blood shot and struggling to stay open.

Axel stumbled into the room, tripping over his own two feet. Tonight was not his night. He just wanted to get to his room and sleep, hopefully all morning too. But of course he couldn’t do that, he had to wake up. But he was reaching the low of his high, and that strange feeling in the pit of his…

"You can't just tease me with info like that, hombre. Let me see your ink," Axel smirked.

"Pffft, you wish. I told you, I’m not a one night stand kind of guy. Your one time deal was the plane yesterday. Now you’re gonna have to woo me if you want it." He rolled his eyes, "I’ll show you my tattoo, though, if you show me yours."

Axel chuckled at the boys reaction. "I've been out of my house for less than two hours, on this plane for less than one, and already I've met the cutest boy I think in all of existence."

Axel coughed, trying desperately to get some air into his lungs. He was fine. But the air had rushed out of him as soon as he'd hit the ground, and he was trying desperately to recover.

Fearing that his inability to talk would make Kairi worry, Axel lifted up his hand and made a small 'ok' sign with his fingers. Attempting to form a simple "I'll be fine," ended up being a silent opening and closing of his mouth. He sighed frustratedly, and pushed himself up off of the ground, holding the paopu fruit gingerly. He had come this far without bruising the fruit, and planned to keep it that way.

In the awkward situation that he was in, unable to form any words, Axel took Kairi's face between his palms and kissed her softly, hoping that the kiss would further reassure her that he was okay.

Kairi tilted her head at him and wiggled around so that the cloak covered her a bit more. She laughed shyly, embarrassed. ” I’m s-sorry.” she said nuzzled against him and kissing his cheek.

But he was reaching the low of his high, and that strange feeling in the pit of his stomach that his new boss had warned him about was starting to bubble up. 

"All first timers feel sick when they start to come off the high...don't worry about it...I'll give you some more tomorrow and you'll feel like a million bucks."

It had only been one line, and he was already missing the sensation. That burning feeling in his nose that he was assured he would get used to, but wasn't really sure he wanted to. That sense of euphoria after, when he began to feel every nerve ending in his body. The touch of the cool beer bottle on his finger tips sending a vibration throughout his entire body. When he stepped out of the apartment and stumbled across the hallway into the wall, laughing away what would later become a bruised collarbone but at the time felt like the best orgasm of his life. So self-assured, so certain and confident. It was dangerous and Axel knew it, but the red head also knew that he would be back tomorrow. 

The cat sitting on the kitchen counter stared at him as he shuffled into his bedroom.

"What the hell are you looking at?! I know it's a bad idea! But I need that feeling. It makes me feel so in control of myself Adam," And then the tears came. And he started sobbing. Because everything hit him like a damn firetruck. Everything he was doing was wrong. But it just felt so damn right.

He ignored the green eyes that watched him as he walked into his bedroom and fell face first onto his bed. 

"I hope no one finds me like this," Axel moans into his pillow.

I'm very sorry about my inactivity, my 2 week holiday ended and I had to go back to school last week so I've been really busy with schoolwork and just dealing with having to be in that environment again. I'll try to reply as much as possible, but between being at school, doing homework, taking care of my other blog and sleeping I usually don't have a lot of brain power left to write replies. I'm very sorry and I hope you guys understand. For those of you who I have replies still to get to, I promise I'll get to them, I haven't dropped the thread or anything, I'm just really tired lately and want my reply to be the best it can be. Axel felt his body heat up as she tightened her grip into his hair and he pushed her down into the blanket, and then began trailing kisses down the side of her body. When he reached the bottom of her shirt he pushed it up slightly and brushed his lips across her stomach. “Yeah, I’ve got really important plans,” Axel leaned over Kairi towards the coffee table behind her, pulling out a bottle of red wine from under it and two glasses from on top of it. He sat back down next to Kairi, facing the fireplace and the woman he had married. “I’m gonna cook you your favourite meal for dinner, I was actually at the grocery store before I got home,” He said, pouring two glasses of the wine. “And after that I’m taking you on a little trip.”

"Honey, I'm home!"

Axel kissed her cheek, laughing softly as she apologized. “It’s okay, you don’t need to be sorry,” He said, pulling her closer and tightening his arms around her body.

As she starting speaking, Axel watched her lips move. He watched them mould each word as it fell out of her mouth. His ears pricked when she mentioned destinies becoming intertwined. He pulled his eyes away from Kairi’s lips and looked back up at the fruit hanging from the tree. “Destinies intertwined forever, you say?” He let go of Kairi as gently as he could, and sat her down in the middle of the blanket fort. He crawled out of the fort and onto the sand, and then pulled himself onto the tree. Even while standing on the trunk of the tree, and reaching as high as he could, Axel still couldn’t reach the fruit. He positioned his feet higher on the trunk, then pulled himself up, wrapping his arms around the tree and pulling himself up higher. The paopu fruit came within reach, and he grabbed it softly trying not to bruise it. The paopu fruit tore away from its tree and for a brief moment Axel held it and stayed up in the tree. For a brief moment. Then his arm which he still had wrapped around the tree came loose and his legs unwrapped with it, and he fell back into the sand, pain immediately radiating through his body when he hit the ground. Axel let his arms fall out to his sides, revealing the fresh fruit lying unscathed on his chest.

Kairi tilted her head at him and wiggled around so that the cloak covered her a bit more. She laughed shyly, embarrassed. ” I’m s-sorry.” she said nuzzled against him and kissing his cheek. 

"Well," Kairi started, holding onto his hand, "People say that the paopu fruit has the power to keep people in your life forever." she explained. Kairi looked up at the fruit. "And if you share one with someone, your destinies become intertwined—forever."  As the wind blew a little harder, the blankets shifted around the,. "Oops." Kairi said as she moved the blanket back around the two of them.

Axel smiled, realizing how infatuated the blonde seemed to be with their hands being locked together like this. Instead of pulling his hands away from the blonde he had just met, he lifted it up and planted his lips against them gingerly, trailing the kisses up Roxas’ arm.

Axel smiled at his wife as she pulled him down to the floor with him. He touched his lips to hers, taking her bottom lip between his and biting it softly then pulled his lips away from hers and let out a subtle and quiet moan. He quickly bit down on his own lip, hoping that Kairi hadn’t heard the noise escape his mouth.

“Of course you didn’t hurt me and I'm so sorry I scared you, my love.” He breathed, brushing his lips against hers once more. “I just needed an excuse to tickle you. And get you down on the floor with me,” He said softly. “I have big plans for us tonight, and this-” His hands drifted to Kairi’s waist and he pulled her closer to his own body, trailing tender kisses down her neck and across her shoulders. Each kiss began with his tongue pressing against her skin and ended with his lips closing over it, as if he was attempting to leave a mark on her, but was too fearful to alter the skin of the girl he had fallen in love with. “This is the perfect way to start the night.”

Axel smiled nervously, looking back at Kairi. He scratched the back of his neck with his free hand and cleared his throat, gesturing to her chest quickly, then blushing and pushing his hand back into his hair. “The cloak just...got a bit lower,” He blushed, averting his eyes once more. He wasn’t sure why it was making him so nervous, he felt like in any other situation he’d be more confident. If it was someone other than Kairi, he would probably pull the cloak up himself, but for some reason in this situation he felt his skin prick with heat at the very thought of having his hands that close to her skin.

Instead of drawing any more attention to his nervousness, he turned his head back to the paopu tree. “Would you mind telling me the story?”

He glanced down at Kairi, and became instantly aware of the amount of her chest that was showing now that she had readjusted the cloak. Forcing himself to tear his eyes away, and keep them away, Axel looked back up at the tree, looking at the strange fruit. “I’ve never heard of it before…is the fruit edible?”
