Ice Bear! Do you have a crush on your friend, Yana?

Hello, anon! Sorry to say this, but I won’t be answering this ask in character. Instead, I have things to say (and since I have a lot of things to say I’m putting this under a “keep reading” thing).

1. I don’t know if you looked at the blog members’ headcanons, or whatever, but I headcanon Ice Bear as aroace, which means that romantic crushes barely come to him, if at all. Platonic crushes still exist (squishes) but I doubt you were asking about that. Anyways, the main point: you guys need to pay attention to our headcanons. Thankfully, Mod Ruby recently added our headcanons to the top of the pinned post (it was at the bottom before so it was harder to notice). So, for example, you need to keep in mind that I won’t answer any asks relating to Ice Bear being in relationship stuff (except platonic and queerplatonic thigss). Look at the others’ headcanons regarding sexuality and gender identities too. Also, if you don’t ship Panlie and/or Grizznom, that’s okay, but us mods do, so be respectful of that. Okay, next point-

2. Honestly, the whole idea of shipping Ice Bear and Yana to begin with is...kinda something. Remember that Yuri is Yana’s father, and Ice had a fatherly relationship with Yuri before meeting his brothers. In a way, they share the same FATHER. If anything, I interpret Ice Bear and Yana’s relationship to be more of a...sibling-like dynamic thing? I mean, if Ice Bear experienced any romantic feelings towards Yana (I remember him blushing once but nothing else really), then at least he didn’t know that Yuri was Yana’s dad until the end of Icy Nights II? Still, the thought of Ice Bear and Yana being a thing is uncomfortable for me and most likely everyone else in the ask blog.

To Ruby Senpai and Dave Chan, what brushes do you use to draw and color? What program/software do you use?

mod dave: i use medibang paint with my phone!!! and i use the pen (sharp) brush for pretty much everything! with the minimum size set to about 60% :P (i really need to download some brushes one of these days aaaa) i use the same brush for those weird multicolored backgrounds i do sometimes, just with the opacity set to ~50-60ish. for my lineart, i just convert the layer to 1bit, convert it back to color, and recolor as needed to give it that pixelly look lol :'3

Mod Ruby: I use Ibispaint! The size canvas I use is 1000 x 1000 and the brush size is set to 4.0 px. As for the type of brush I use, I main the digital pen brush 😎👊. Fun fact but Dave was originally the one who inspired me to go for a more pixely styled art. Of course if the background is a plain colour I will use the digital brush again, however if I’m going for a more detailed background I will use the water colour (opaque) brush (I especially love this brush to do cloud backgrounds >w<). Update 1

Hello everyone! Some of you may have heard that our dear Kookie is taking a break from the blog. We’re not sure how long she’ll be but she may not be back for a good while. Do not threat though, Mod Sage is taking over Ice Bear’s requests until she comes back.

Update 2

We are aware that the asks aren’t being done as fast anymore. Unfortunately a lot of us have gone back to school. However the blog will still be up and running and the mods are doing their best to continue asks with whatever opportunity they get. Thank you for being patient!
