Sketching in between big projects really helps me stay excited for my art. Right now I'm working on a lot of backgrounds for my latest ask and it's a bit daunting. I'm also studying up on some comic book art for my experimental piece with King Dice. Really trying to narrow down which artists I want to take inspiration from. So throwing in some light sketches always helps.

P.S. I apologize if I post really late for some people. I often have to sleep almost immediately after getting back from work in the evening. So, by the time I have the energy to draw it can get pretty late.

The last picture I drew in March 2024 was my depiction of Angel!Lucifer for the AU. I remember heavily disliking it, but I looked back at recently, when I decided to try drawing again.

It...wasn't that bad. This is the updated version of him I did this year. It's not completely redesigned, but I still think he looks a lot better. Gives me some confidence in my abilities again!

Well, it's been a terribly long time hasn't it? I can't remember the last time I posted...

Oh! ...That actually makes a lot of sense.

I apologize sincerely for leaving everyone hanging for over a year without an explanation. I thank you dearly for your concern.

Unfortunately, 2024 was one of the worst years of my life, physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, and familial wise. Things got very very bad last March. I cut off a lot of people and things that made me happy because I genuinely didn't feel like I deserved to be here anymore.

I don't want to go into too much detail because #1. my family is very private about our affairs and I'd prefer not to air out things that they wouldn't want, and #2. I don't want to trigger anybody who may be going through a rough patch or are also mentally ill.

BCAU and my time here on Tumblr never really left my thoughts for very long though. I remember being genuinely happy with the work I was doing, the community around me, and seeing everything everyone else was coming up with. I don't know much about the fandom now since it's been a year, but hope some of y'all still love the game/tv series as much as I do!

I plan to come back and keep drawing for anyone who might be interested. I've written down a lot about this AU and have gone further in depth with how I want to change things moving forward.

At the same time, I do want to be more open about myself. Not too much that I feel like I'm pouring my guts out, but I'd like to connect with others, if anyone would be interested in idle chit-chat. (Sorry if I'm a bit socially inept.) Also, maybe someone could help explain to me how Tumblr has changed, lol. The first thing I was bombarded with on my return was "communities?"

But to anyone who might be curious. I go by Vik. I prefer he/him. I love a ton of indie games and tv shows that I'd love to gush about. And I have some...problems.

Thank you @anawkwardgalnamedtarazan for your concern. It feels a bit comforting to come back. And I hope I didn't make anyone too mad.

Well...one of the writers writing a DD fake marriage fanfic was not on my bingo card for 2024, but when has anything ever been! (Thank you for tagging me @anawkwardgalnamedtarazan )

I'm lucky that my students are on Spring Break this week, because I reaallly wanted to work hard on this piece! I referenced a really intimate Swing Dance pic for the pose so I hope that came across nicely! Also, if I remember correctly I believe it said that KD was in a pink and white suit, instead of his regular purple, and I just HAD to draw that! ^^ I couldn't decide if The Devil would be really extra and wear a gigantic princess style dress, or if he'd be really extra and wear a more revealing dress. Either way, he was gonna be extra! I hope ya like it :)
