Isaac, Hector, one vampire claims that necromancy is Devil Forge. What are you two going to do about it?

Isaac: And what do they know, hm? Did they study under Lord Dracula? Who dares disrespect our art?

Hector: That sounds like an unfortunate misunderstanding on what it means to "create life". The only trait in common between necromancy and Devil Forging is the ability to control creatures. But, to be frank, our Devils are more elegant than reanimated corpses.

Isaac: This vampire can see for themselves what we can do, heh! Then we'll see if they confuse my Abel for a corpse!

Isaac, is it just me, or do you really have small fangs?

And what if I do? Would you force me to eat raw garlic to fix them?

Scared, ignorant humans already tried that. They have also poured holy water into my eyes to cleanse them, and burned my hair to bleach it. Nothing erases the curse inside me, and I will not hide it! If my teeth look inhuman and disturb you, I welcome it!

Isaac, what do you admire the most about Dracula?

There is not one thing I don't admire about my Lord.

He's a generous Lord towards the ones who got shunned by God and his ilk. He accepted us, allowed us to live and grow and find our place in the world! He taught us an infinitesimal part of His immense, ancient knowledge - it is so vast, and arcane, yet He trusted us enough with it. He is a strict but fair mentor, and a capable protector of the Castle and Wallachia as a whole.

He is the kind, loving God that Christians believe their puny deity to be. I couldn't be more honored to serve Him, and I only long to make Him happy.

Isaac, shrugging: To ward off the cold during winter. Hector didn't even know that he could do that, but once I gave him permission, he wouldn't stop clinging to me...

Hector: *rolls his eyes* And I should be thankful for such a privilege, to be allowed to touch the untouchable Isaac, am I right?

Isaac: Quite so!

Hector: Oh, but it seems that you've forgotten the times you were the one clinging to me, when something upset you greatly...

Isaac, hissing: That doesn't count! I was not in my right mind!

Hector: Do you mean a hose? Of course, why wouldn't we? The Castle is too cold for humans.

Isaac: For you, maybe, hah. But yes, a hose is part of our uniform, as you would expect. Does that fascinate you, curious friend?

Hector: Isaac, don't flirt with the correspondents.

Have you taken me for a dog, performing tricks at your leisure? And a clingy one too.

I can't do that to poor Hector, he'd get all concerned for me... And there's nothing worse than a concerned Hector.

Isaac, Hector, do you hear the voices of demons all the time or only in some special situations?

Isaac: They're not a problem in the castle. We can see the demons, and order them to stand down. But back in the human world, when they are hidden from plain sight, they would only speak to me when I was exceptionally furious.

Hector: I'd hear them all the time. When I was yelled at, when I got stones thrown at me, when I dreaded the time to return home, when I was made to pray...

Isaac: That sounds like you also heard them when you were furious.

Hector: I suppose so. They insisted that I should have killed everyone and follow them, and during such occasions, I was tempted to do so.

Isaac: Hmph. You should have listened to them sooner. What tied you to the human world anyway?

Isaac, Hector, what language did you speak to each other when you first met?

Isaac: Wallachian. What else? Should have I performed in my best Neapolitan? Hahaha!

Hector: We both come from different kingdoms, but we were raised in Wallachia. Language has never been a problem for us.

(to MF Isaac before going after Hector) How did you feel when Dracula admitted he sent Hector after Trevor, and no one even told you? Where do you think Hector is now?

Quiet, you, or I will tear out your tongue.

He can't be far... he with his damned magic can't hide from me forever. And when I find that snake... I will show Lord Dracula that I am more than enough of a match for the Belmont.

Seems the Count had went to the Forgemasters' Quarters.

"Would you care to join Lisa and I for Dinner tonight?"

"Of course, my Lord! We'll be right there!"

When Lord Dracula left the room, and waiting a good minute to be sure to be out of earshot, the boys whispered to each other.

"Do you think there's going to be a special occasion?" asked Isaac, unable to contain his excitement.

"I don't think so? He would have told us, I think." Hector hoped so. He didn't like surprises very much. "Maybe they just want company today."

It must have been Lady Lisa's idea. Even years after they got accustomed to the castle and its dangers, the Lady wouldn't stop fretting over the two boys, in the same manner she would do with Prince Adrian.

What a strange concept it was.

(After meeting Trevor) Hector, do you enjoy getting whipped?

I was nearly killed by an insane vampire hunter, and this is your concern?!

The bruises still smart... I had heard that the Belmont's whip is infused with holy power, and I can feel it reacting to my magic. It is beyond unpleasant.

Hahahaha! Is that what you expected me to say? I know that Hector fancies the other sex. I had to rescue him from the binding spell of those filthy Succubi when he was younger...

It doesn't matter to me. Hector might be attracted to women... but he doesn't seek them when he needs warmth and company.

Calling Isaac 'father' is fine, but 'brother' is too far? Truly your logic is beyond me.

What the Hell are you talking about...?

Wait. You're not referring to... Did you seriously believe Isaac back then?!

Why would I call him "father" in any sense? Does he look any fatherly to you? There are times where I feel like I have to keep him under control. Ridiculous.

Does Lady Lisa know two of her sons have a sexual relationship with each other?

Hector, crossing his arms: We are not brothers.

Isaac: And what if we were, mh? Incest is unnatural because the resulting offspring comes out ill. *grins* You don't need to be concerned about any lovely child coming out of us, hahaha! Lady Lisa is not worried about us.

Hector: Isaac, keep talking and I'm not going to touch you ever again.

"So, do either of you regret ever working for Lord Dracula? Even a little bit?"

Hector: Every waking and sleeping moment of my life.

An entire lifetime would not be enough to repent for my mistakes... I cannot justify myself. I can only hope that Rosaly will accept me for what I am.

Isaac: My only regret is not slitting Hector's throat the second he dared to show any doubt regarding Lord Dracula. I should have understood... but I was blinded.

Has any of you ever thought about taking care of one or more children? Like, as mentors, teachers, or... parents? 🙂

Isaac: Already done that. Who do you think taught Hector everything he knows?

Hector: Lord Dracula.

Isaac: You're welcome. I would be glad to mentor other children and pass on my knowledge... but I'll pass on the childrearing part. My Devils are the perfect children as much as I'm concerned.

Hector: ... I'd rather avoid human children altogether.
