According to Sir Armster, he's many centuries old, even older than Lord Dracula. With such a difference, he might as well be my direct ancestor, but after this many generations I doubt we share more but a few drops of blood.

... I would say so, yes. At first, I thought he wanted nothing to do with me, because he refused to speak. But I was adamant to teach him everything I know, as my Lord ordered me! And because... Julia sometimes is like that. She gets shy and won't speak for the whole day until she calms down. And I never thought she hated me when she did it, so...

I was right. Hector is just a scared little mouse, and I need to protect him from every shadow, but he listens to me and wants to play every game I suggest. He can be mischievious too, when he doesn't get terrified, haha! But... he never got really scared of me, the kind of fear that makes the humans stone you or brand you.

Yes, he's a good friend. The castle is much more fun with him in it.

They're weird and make me feel weird. They talk to me like they're making fun of me. They want to touch me and don't go away easily. Animal demons leave me alone after a while, but the human ones...

Once, one of them trapped me in a spell. I couldn't move anymore... and she gave me a kiss on the cheek...

I don't know what would have happened if Isaac didn't find us and kill her. I'm still scared when I think about it. I'm so lucky to have him as a friend.

He seems to be... cordial. More than I expected, anyway.

He often stops to chat with me and give me advice of every kind. He teases me and doesn't mince words, but that doesn't bother me. It's as if he has elected himself as my mentor... a rather confusing one, however.

He also often plays peacekeeper whenever Isaac and I fight. Even if he does it for Isaac's sake, I appreciate it.

Not by much, but yes, he is. Not that it matters most of the time, since Joachim tends to float off the ground.

Naturally, I know how tall he is when he's not floating, such as when he's sprawled all over the bed. And before you send an inane question about whether this reflects on his other size, hah! Wouldn't you like to know.

Joachim appreciates my work of art on my body, of course. He admires my skills and has even gifted me a pair of ear piercings, handcrafted by him. When I admire myself in the mirror, he looks more pleased than I do, haha!

He has some lines he forbids me from crossing, however... such as piercing myself with a knife, so to speak. He told me that he only wants me to change my body out of love.

Sure, most vampires are. They are predators, and like all predators, they growl when their meal is taken from them.

But while you wouldn't be able to tell, Joachim is quite old. He claims to be even older than my Lord, that he has met him when he was still human. He finds such games childish and beneath him. Perhaps his instincts tell him to chase Hector away when he approaches me... but he is mature enough to trust me.
